TMNT the Last Ronin12324

Forum Crier OGJackster private msg quote post Address this user
So, at my LCS, if you didn't have The Last Ronin on your pull list then $15 rather than the $8.99. Gotta love capitalism! I had 2 on my pull list

Man. The story looks really good so far. Only thing that will suck is waiting for all the issues to read them all in one sitting vs piecemeal.

Had one on my pull list and my LCS had two others on the shelf at 4pm so I snagged an extra. Seconds after the other was grabbed. All at cover price! Already read it, know of one turtle it is not. Reads quick for a longer comic, pretty good typical first issue. Already ready for the next issue!

Question is what bag and board do you use?

It appears to be magazine sized....

I'm looking at all those variants and trying to be honest with myself about what emotions I'm feeling. A part of me is just really glad that I don't play in that game. But honestly I'm also a little envious of those who will be getting copies and participating in the "what's it worth today", or "did I pick the right variant?" game. As an outsider to the game it's easy to say "those grapes are probably sour anyway", but there is definitely something about this book that reminds me of the excitement I used to feel in the early days of collecting for potential value. Like when I got 2 copies of Wolverine #1. And that was a pretty cool feeling.

@EbaySeller

I bought enough variants that will prolly bomb for the both of us. Dont feel too bad.

The only saving grace is the book that Jesse started this thread on and that will make up for the less than popular choices I made.

@Bronte Based on how you've described your personality in the past, I pretty much assumed that was the case, lol. It's like standing at the Roulette table...you just want to play #7, but some compulsion won't let you stop covering numbers until all your chips are on the table. I know the feeling.

@EbaySeller

Yeah. I am a basket case. I have OCD. So gambling and I are not a good combo. There used to be an arcade that used tokens next to a comic book shop. They had a slot machine. Well they also had an ATM machine in the building. I remember visiting the ATM more times than I care to admit. Keep in mind I know you can't win anything. No tickets. Just tokens. After about 50bux I decided I cant go to gambling establishments any more.

Comics are a safer bet, but still if you can lose, ill find a way.....

Got my weekly pickup from the LCS today and they had plenty of copies of the standard cover. If anyone came up empty I can try to grab one for you.

Linebreakerscomics is having another Gort thing going on. 1 of 5 will have a raw turtle book. You have to buy a rorschach book for admission.

I think 2 were bought when I bought a chance.

Edit

Sold out

Interesting how 1 seller in Canada has 3 of the Bartling variants and has them in hand; and is selling 1 per day. Hmmmmmmmm

@Nuffsaid111

They are probably raw copies. And he prolly has multiple accounts. I know I accidentally made a second account on linebreakerscomics site.

An accidental second - certainly.
A accidental 3rd? - hmmmmm..... something smelling fishy.

I'm not even sure if he's done yet after #3.

My question is why didn't everyone choose to upgrade to remarked and graded because of the ebay returns on graded copies.....

Yea - I got that email as well from Linebreakers.... giving myself (and every other purchaser) the option of upgrades. I think it's live for a week?

I heavily considered it, but that 3 - 4 month lead time to get the book to me was just too much after waiting already for almost 4 months.

Wow. I had no idea 4 months have passed. I wonder what folks that sold their books months ago, are going to do. Thats a crazy long time to be out 1k bux or more with nothing to show for it.

I would be interested. I missed the Santuoloco variant when it came out. I'll pm you.

What is your variant? Are you a comic store? An artist?
