It's also why I am a bit iffy about using MCS at this stage of me getting any remaining comics I need. Double with what you said about mis-wraps. That is just... Ugh.

I have made many acquaintances and friendships over the years which have developed into a lasting trust of sellers and dealers I usually will deal with.

That said... at some point in order to expand on your trust worthy network of people you have to take a few leaps of faith in order to weed out the bad.

MyComicShop is among one of the top dealers on my trust list as long as there is a photo of the book. Without a photo I am taking the chance of getting books with mis-wrapped covers, which are personally not acceptable for my collecting needs. MCS is the only one I would take a chance on unseen books.

There are a few Red flags that will make me immediately skip past a sellers listing.

#1 No Photos and/or Stock Photo's
#2 No Stated Grade or description because "Your Not a Professional Grader"

So I’m sure some of you saw my latest lot I picked up. One of the comics is Web of Spider-Man #100. I was re-bagging it and saw a note on the back of the backing board and it read “Rare mistake book, cover of WoSM #100 but has full story of ASM #377, but has the middle of the WoSM issue”. Pretty damn cool!

I have a variation of Asperger's that has people keep such things at a minimum. Plus I have a history where I bought stuff that did not look like its non-stock images. Which is why I prefer a store that offers a return if what I get does not meet my requirements. And only use that option if the item is $30 USD or more.

Which is why I will only use MCS when it comes to graded comics. And only if the slabs look like they need to be replaced, but the comic inside looks like it does not need to be pressed.

My run through my X-Men collection made me think I could throw a few dollars in the Marauders arc again so I got this too. I did not pay $60 for it.

thanks, I don't have a picture of the back. I dropped that book and a batch of books off (including the crow set and caliber presents) to get them cleaned and pressed. I dropped 30 or so books off a month and a half and no word yet when they are going to be done, he's super busy and backlogged

It sure does. I am always looking for Dennis the Menace Giants in nice condition and they are almost impossible to find, especially the white covers. I try to collect these in the sharpest possible condition, strive for F/VF but accept VG+ if the book is clean and has nice eye appeal. I still need a lot of the Christmas Giants, those seem to be the hardest to find for me.

Here is a typical example of what you can find on eBay right now listed as G/VG...

...this copy is listed right now for "Buy it Now" option at $46.80 plus shipping!! Too expensive and it looks awful!

I've always been a fan of Silver Age Superman, the first super-hero comics I read as a kid. Picked this up today, April 1962 issue. It was graded as a Fine by the owner, I'd give it a solid 5.0 maybe more with a press.
