@Nuffsaid111 Awesome! Agree 100%. That’s why my Underdog #1 (9.0, white pages) is such a treasure. Not because it’s particularly expensive, but because it’s damn hard to find in high grade. I continue to search for an upgrade, but I’m not holding my breath.

I had my eye on an Ice Cream Man #1 second print for a month. CGC 9.8 on the bay. I was being kind of cheap and wouldn't pay it. I made an offer and guy countered 10 more than I still wanted to pay, ( yes I was being cheap). Needless to say every graded copy of Ice Cream Man 1 disappeared. I chose to go the alternative route and trust the bay with raw books. This time I wasn't disappointed, I got this lot for the price of the slab mentioned.

I'll say 1000000 times until I'm blue in the face - High grade Charlton #1's (and I'm sure others) are so darn difficult to find in a decent grade.

Love this show when I was a kid.

Did he actually sign that Venom 1 with different color sharpies throughout his autograph?
That's kinda neat.... never seen that before

Yep its called an infinity sig. He uses different sharpies for different parts of his name. Not like he traces over it. It coast a couple extra bucks then a normal sig but I dig it.

I just got my first Gold Key file set. Quite an interesting piece. Gold Key bound their comics on an annual basis, and as a cost saving measure, titles that were published less frequently were bound together. This made for some very interesting combinations. For example, this book contains Bullwinkle and Rocky, Grimm’s Ghost Stories and Happy Days issues from 1979. The Bullwinkle issues are the final issues of that title, while the Happy Days books comprise the complete series. Another interesting item of provenance, the receipt from the bindery, is still tucked inside the front cover.

@Batman66 I just became aware of that Alter Ego 7 book a couple months ago. I think it was the first cover of Black Adam? I think it also reprints the story from Marvel Family #1? Was it published by DC? It kind of looks like an independent underground comic.

@EbaySeller the alter ego is more of a fanzine.Just recently found out it myself. Roy Thomas was the editor. I think they are pretty cool, have a second copy coming, should be here today

@michaelekrupp nice pick up. Didn't realize there was a happy days comic book. I remember watching that TV show as a kid. I'll have to keep my eye out for those issues 👍

OK... I got the book cracked out

After inspecting the book closely I was in agreement that CGC had accurately graded the book.

Now... Over to my Peter Parker, Spectacular Spider-man Drawer

Out with the Old Copy

In with the New upgraded copy

A upgraded Issue #17 is still one of the few issues in the 263 book run that has eluded me...

good deal today, what I paid for the avengers 8, was getting the rest for free. Excited to have the Dr Doom prototype. A couple of newsstand goodness with the gijoe and Wolverine. Have around 6 copies of the spotlight 32, but can't pass up a good deal
