Picked up these four minor mid-grade ASM keys today for cheap. Now, the question is whether to keep them or slab/sell and buy myself a single high-grade book.

@CatCovers Nice looking Spidey's! What kind of grades are we looking at? The ASM #36 & #135 looks to be a desirable books from what I can see. At least the cover are nicely centered. Good Luck whatever you decide.

Ballparking, I'd give the 37 a 3.5 and the 135 a 4.5. Press and clean may bump them half a point. The cover on 36 is surprisingly white for its age, but there's some soiling near the spine that's harder to see with the Mylite glamourshot effect. With a successful press and clean, maybe a 6.0 or 6.5. The special is a pretty solid 5.0.

it's those damned 'Star' comics -were for kids so not many out there and even fewer in decent shape.

Ewoks can get up there and you don't see Heathcliff that often, but Muppet Babies and Care Bears are on another level!

This got me looking at prices for Thundercats #1- I got two 9.8 candidates for $5 ea. on the CGC forum several years ago.

I had no idea!

My first commissioned book. Really reasonable, I thought. If interested in a commission, she goes by "sketchcardgirl" on Instagram, which is how I found her.

Just arrived (a few days late)! I’d been trying to pick up a copy of this for a while and was able to snatch up this copy on the cheap! It’s signed by Jim Starlin but the price I got it was great even without the signature!

The book is hefty at nearly 1200 pages and has a lot of material that doesn’t get reprinted very often. Mostly from the 60s through the 80s, which makes the title a little strange since the newest story is from 1991, so not quite 70 decades in this book. Given the theme of the book I would’ve liked to see more commentary or retrospective material. As it is there is a 3-page retrospective
that goes over the broad strokes.

Thanks, I was really happy to come across a nice looking copy that didn't have any writing on the sharks belly! It's now the oldest book in my collection and definitely one of my favorites added this year. The census shows 25 universal copies. This is the only 6.0 with 8 lower and 16 higher. Highest is 9.4

Im surprised Books from 1941 survived this long at all, let alone in higher grades like a 9.4. The Sharks belly does look like a nice spot to write something. What was commonly wrote on it? Names? 16 books with higher grades is not very many, regardless it is a fantastic looking book. Captain Marvel really has a crushing hold on that shark!

I think it's an illegal wrist-lock. First time is probably a warning, second time probably a 2-point deduction. I wonder what the poor Tiger Shark did to deserve such a squeezing from an Immortal?

Couple neat books I picked up from a local collector. Xmen 94 signed by Claremont, other books have sigs on cover or first page.

I added a couple of raw books to an MCS auction win. I think I got the MCS stock treatment; these are listed as VF but, at least at first glance through the bag, they look much nicer.
