ebay's partner network12165

I had no way of knowing that 9.8 graded copies signed by Adam Hughes weren't what you were looking for. drchaos private msg quote post Address this user
I got an e-mail from ebay with the headline "pay 0% seller fees.

When I clicked the link I was informed that it was free to sign up for ebay's Partner Network.

Before I filled in my contact information there was a list of fees by item category.

Upon seeing this I decided that I was too confused to sign up for a program that might potentially cost me more fees instead of helping me.

As I simply do not understand how this program works I wanted to share the information here in hopes that someone more knowledgeable could educate me and the rest of the gang on what this program is, how it works, and what the benefits or pitfalls would entail.

Thanks in advance.

Interesting. I think I might have gotten this little window telling me the exact same thing you're describing. I didn't actually look into it though, but now you got me curious about it.

If the viagra is working you should be well over a 9.8. xkonk private msg quote post Address this user
I didn't look at the details but from the overview page it sounds like other 'affiliate programs'. If you post a link to an item somewhere, like in a blog, and someone clicks through that link you would get some kind of credit. If someone buys that item you get more credit. My wife does links like that for Amazon.

@xkonk I think I get the gist of it but the devil is in the details.

@drchaos ah, you are probably thinking of it from the other side as the seller, paying fees to whoever directs traffic to your stuff. You would pay the commission that the affiliate gets. I saw one page that made it looks like a 3% commission for things like comics with a $550 cap but I didn't dig around too much.

It's like the Roach Motel for comic collectors. chester15 private msg quote post Address this user
I clicked on it, checked it out briefly. Yeah, looks like the affiliate program type thing. Saw that if I got someone to come to eBay through my efforts (links in blogs, emails, website, etc.), my Final Value Fee would be offset by my "earnings". If I directed them to eBay and they bought another seller's goods, I got a few %. I don't have the "goods" to try it - blog, website, etc., so I bailed before even applying.

I never thought about who supplies the "%". I suspect if you sign up to earn, you are also signing up to pay. I doubt eBay is tossing in 4% or so.

I think this is eBay's answer to Google not showing their listings anymore, or having such strict requirements that the listings don't get viewed through Google Marketplace, Google Ads, or wherever they usually get seen. So they are doing an end run (?) Maybe someone knows more about how that works. Hope so, cuz I don't have much on it.
