| I have never bought from Comic Connect before. There are a few books I'm interested in on their site and a few of them are raw. Just wondering what peoples thoughts or experiences are? are their raw grades accurate? do they check for color touch or restoration? (looking at the scan I don't see any but you never know!) Looks like no buyer fees like Heritage so that's a plus! thanks in advance!! |

| I wouldn't recommend it, unless you plan on paying a price 1 to 2 points lower than what's advertised. They also charge very high and unreasonable shipping fees. It's not like MCS, comicconnect doesn't actually grade the raw comics they have for sale (at least not at auction), the person consigning it does. They do state in their terms that they check to make sure they grades are accurate but I doubt they do. I'm too lazy to upload photos but here's what a two of them recently came back from CBCS got graded:  X-Men #32 CBCS 5.5 19-45AE39F-023 Vault of Horror #26 CBCS 2.5 19-45AE39F-022 |

 I had no way of knowing that 9.8 graded copies signed by Adam Hughes weren't what you were looking for.

| They are usually pretty good, most raw books I have gotten are within a half a point gradewise. I have had a problem with some auction books as the consignors are not always as tight with the grades as Comic Connect is with their own books. They give you a week to return the books so I would not sleep on inspecting them right away when you do get them. |

| Site seems a mess. Bought 2 slabs and 2 raws. Showed up in my cart so I paid. Payment was pending on my credit card then disappeared. Shows I have an unpaid invoice still. Currently, I have no idea how or when I have to pay. The shipping charge was only $15 on my initial invoice. | ||

| @drchaos I actually called over a week ago. The rep's answer was basically wait. I actually paid right away but the payment stayed "pending" on my credit card. The pending charge eventually disappeared. I am currently wondering if I need to call again and if they contacted the sellers of the comics to ship them. |

| 2 Action Golden Age books advertised as 5.0s. One came back 3.5, EXTENSIVE foxing whole book, not disclosed in auction listing. Other was 4.5. One other purchase was lot of Inferior Five issues. Several books had cut outs not disclosed and detached centerfolds not disclosed. ALWAYS deduct 0.5 from their grades below 7.0, maybe even 8.0. metropolis does better, but still has the 1/2 point issue in lower grades. |

| yikes!!! thanks for the input everyone!! looks like stay away from raw books at Comic Connect!! Sounds like MCS is fair to under graded on their raws - should probably have a look at their site too! |
