Just show something cool: Part 311972

I had no way of knowing that 9.8 graded copies signed by Adam Hughes weren't what you were looking for. drchaos private msg quote post Address this user

I meant to post this when Dawn Wells (AKA, Mary Ann from Gilligan's Island) passed away but I couldn't find it.

A picture of Dawn Wells and I on a date (or convention, I can't quite remember) (LOL). She was great to meet and a very engaging, lovely and kind lady. This was taken about 6 years ago.

Back in late '81 or '82, I had breakfast with Marie Osmond at a Waffle House. No pics though
What a wonderful person.

@sportshort - I would loved to have met Dawn Wells. She was always one of my favorites. I would have married her if I had the opportunity.

@sportshort It's true, Mary Ann was the girl you married. Ginger on the other hand, she had Side Piece written all over her, lol.
There were 2-3 years in my life (maybe around 12 or 13?) where watching the rerun of Gilligans Island around 4:00 was one of the things I looked forward to each day. I would be devastated if it got pre-empted by a baseball game or something. I tried to go back to it years later but it just wasn't the same.

I finally got around to taking a pic of this- It's too big for my scanner. I found this in our local antique mall 31-32 years ago.

@Siggy There’s actually about 12 versions with different countries of origin. If you look closely you can see differences in head color and facial features.

@KatKomics That’s cool I used to have a lot of the sets and ships but now just concentrate on figures they’re much easier to deal with.

Found some old papers buried in the basement. Apparently there was a little incident at a nuclear plant in the USSR. Some people even “suffered injuries”😳 It’s weird to see Leningrad on a map again

My brother smokes a mean brisket, but he does "crutch" by using butcher paper. He uses a weber "bullet" I think its called. First time I saw him smear mustard on a brisket I was thinking how nasty that stuff was going to taste. I was WRONG

Brisket intimidates me. I admire anyone who can smoke it.

I use mustard on ribs to hold the rub on. My wife and son are not fans of mustard at all yet they never notice. Good stuff.

@AndyRexia

My brother's only failing in cooking is he wears himself out, and sometimes over sleeps and sometimes things get over cooked. I think I found a solution.

https://www.thermoworks.com/Smoke

I bought this gadget and was able to smoke some beef ribs on a gas grill. It turned out okay, but I have no idea what I'm doing compared to my brother. But the tool at least got the meat to where I wanted it in terms of tenderness. granted my home made rub was less than ideal.

My point is though that the tool makes monitoring the meat significantly easier. They came out with a longer range one that is prolly worth upgrading to.

When I was a kid my best friend and I would save our allowances and wait for our chance to go to the next town over.
A local drugstore sold packs of these cards. We were never able to complete the set but we sure had fun collecting them.
Fast forward a few decades and as an adult I tracked down a few unopened boxes of cards and a binder with the official pages. Pretty sure the binder was a mail away offer. It was fun opening the packs again and completing the set after all this time.
