I preordered this but don't have it yet. But thought this was a pretty darn cool cover.

It is a detective comics 1027 peach variant.

Is Britbox an app? I see their name at the end of every episode on Pluto TV. also if it's an app is it free? and do you see the same episodes as I see on Pluto (therefore no need to even download Britbox)?

My first test for a 3d printed CBCS slab holder was a success. I originally planned to refine this one but I am putting the project on hold until I get my new slabs so I can measure those. ignore that its not centered, I needed to hit a stud and not have the slab in the way of my artwork. For those who are worried for the slabs safety the holder has incredibly tight tolerances and required a lot of force to pop out of its groove.

@CarsonG

Stupid question. Doesn't the thickness vary per book? I could have sworn some books are just fatter than others.

@Bronte Honestly this is my first version of the holder. I also don't have more cbcs slabs because slabbing my own books wasn't an option until this year. So I dont know if they are thicker or not.

I had a really cool interaction with a customer yesterday:

I pulled up to a home with political yard signs that would indicate the homeowner and I are not exactly ideologically compatible. But one of the best things I ever learned from an older salesman is that if you get too focused on selling, you will forget to make a friend. So I try to meet every customer with an authentic friendly smile (before I put on the mask) and ultimately find out what we have in common. The lady I met was an older professional artist and art instructor. At some point we talked about the market for artwork in the age of Covid and I mentioned my comic book collection. She said that she didn't know a lot about comic books but she really liked Bernie Wrightson and the Neil Gaimon Sandman stories. I mentioned that Neil Gaimon is a big fan of Alan Moore and that she might know some movies that were originally Alan Moore comic books. Long story short, My company will be doing the work that she called us out for and I have her now searching the internet for Jim Steranko art and Alan Moore stories. One thing I learned a long time ago, If you make the effort to find out what you have in common with someone, it will usually be a lot more than what you disagree with them on.

A month or so ago I picked up a "cheap" Squier Jazzmaster to mess around with. It only came in two colors, white and black. It also came with humbuckers, instead of the usual flat single coil pickups, and no tremolo. I decided to have some work done to it and had the pick guard, pickups, and knobs changed. Here's a before and after pick. So far I'm very pleased with it. It looks WAY better and sounds more like a Jazzmaster should. Not bad for a "cheap" Squier.

I was a little surprised that Tito Ortiz for City Council got only 1 upvote. I assumed he was a household name across the US and internationally...not just locally known. Am I mistaken in that?

To each their own but these vintage single coils destroy those humbuckers. Aren't options wonderful? 😉
