I saw Randy & Ed in a trio version of SPIRIT in a '93 performance locally. I'll see if there are YouTube videos from around that time to post the "What Are You Listenin' To" thread. |

A dear friend of mine just lost her pet. Although I am typically not an animal person it has affected me as well. This cat was very special indeed. Wasnt sure how to honor the pet's memory but came across a company that would etch a photograph onto a granite slab for you. I had them create this. It came from Arizona to my house in FL in 2 days after they got my approval on the proof. (The cat was a little wonky due to a rough life, so his eye looks a bit messed up) |

@Jesse_O Thank you. But that cat really was something special. Animals dont like me. I think they can sense my fear. This cat was different though. My first recollection was meeting my buddy at animal hospital because this shit head dr. / neighbor kicked the cat. It dislocated his organs and took over 2k$ in surgery to recover. While in pain and on deaths door, this cat let me pet him. He was cool with me and oddly I was okay with him. He became my "gateway" to pets. I even went to visit a cat cafe because I learned to be okay with cats after meeting him. A cat cafe is a place where you go to play with cats and socialize with them. You can buy bottled water or sealed snacks or whatever food and you donate or adopt the cats they have at that facility. It's a win win for prospective owners and the cats that you play with. Thank you for giving me the approval on the plaque. Honestly, I'm afraid it might be emotional to her, but I felt it was only right to honor him. Obviously I don't own a pet so I dont really know what is appropriate for such an occasion. My gut says it's okay. But getting a second opinion is always a good idea.... |

@OGJackster I have this kind of wistful but comforting fantasy that pets are here as witnesses...and on our Judgement Day they will be there once again to reveal what kind of person we are. After all, they would be in a position to know. One time I told that theory to an older woman and she started crying with happiness. I didn't know at the time that her husband was less than 30 days away from dying from Cancer. | ||

Turned 50 over the weekend and I got to choose my own birthday present. It was a tough choice but ultimately this won out over the traditional shirts and underwear from Costco: I've been watching it for months hoping it would still be available and the 50th Birthday finally gave me justification to pull the trigger. I always loved the cover and when I found out it was a relatively affordable Golden Age minor first appearance I really wanted to add it to my "Rogue's Gallery" collection. |

I had asked my Dad to make me a storage unit for my comics in the Nerdcave to the size specs of the closet in there. It was actually a Christmas present, but due to Covid only recently got it transported and assembled last Friday. Really happy with it, so much easier to find stuff!!! Before After |
