RI is in it's second heat wave of the summer. So here's what my summer project was to keep me, my family, and my comics cool. I installed ductless central air conditioning. I did get a little help from a few friends. |

A friend of mine mailed me a package. She is a big fan of Godzilla and loves to say that he could defeat the Punisher. Obviously I've tried on several occasions to explain to her why she's wrong but I haven't been able to convince her. Well today I received the package and it was "decorated" *Edit* make sure you zoom in on Frank. |

It was 96 degrees outside today and the inside of the house was dry and cool. My wife works from home and wore a sweater today at her desk. |

@Maritimer - It can also be used for heating. I will have to investigate if No. 2 fuel oil or electricity would be the cheaper option come winter.

Supposedly, they are very efficient at a ratio of 3 : 1 versus electric baseboard heaters. As for oil, yeah you'll have to research that. If it helps, my energy bills in the dead of winter average less than $400 per month. I know for sure oil is more expensive to heat with up here. Far more people use wood stoves versus oil heat in eastern Canada.

Not sure if heating is more expensive than cooling but I live in Florida and even with AC on pretty much every day of the year I've yet to hit 400$ a billing cycle. I prolly couldn't afford to run it if it was that high.....

my nephew bought a wood working business, he made this for his kid. I thought it was pretty awesome. I told him I would post it here to see if anyone would be interested,he can customize anything. Told him to come up with a price, if anyone is interested let me know. He can make it appropriately 11"x19"x1/8" thick. It's all done with a laser. |
