I have this Funny Picture Stories #4, Centaur, February, 1937.

The first time I met Will Eisner I brought it with me, figuring he might like to see it.

He didn't remember even doing the art in this issue, so he was very happy I brought it along.

It was one of his earliest comic jobs (19 years old), right after his first work in "Wow, What a Magazine" in late 1936.

He wanted to sign the cover with a sharpie, I convinced him to sign the bottom of the first page with a normal pen.

I have a Spider-man 1 book signed by Fodd McTarlane graded a 9.6 with a green label from CGC. He also quoted “name written on cover in marker”. So the label read “name written on cover in marker” written on cover in marker. 😂😂😂.

I kid you not.

George is a great guy.

First met him at Phil Seuling's 4th of July convention in NYC in 1978.

Many, many time since then.

Yes! I volunteer at the Chicago cons and he is awesome! Yanicke Paquatte who did my Superman sketch is a really nice guy too. The year before I got my Superman sketch, I asked him to autograph my blank swamp thing cover bc I ran out of $$$, he did a swamp thing sketch anyways, so I made sure to pay for a sketch the next year

I don't know if this is correct, but someone indicated to me that Don Perlin's signature is relatively uncommon. This was picked up for almost nothing in an eBay auction ungraded. I was happy with the CBCS outcome after pressing, but it's the signature that really makes me happy.

All obtained when autographs were actually free if one can remember those times (including Stan Lee). My 1st 27 volumes of Marvel Masterworks H/C's are all signed by Stan and many others. These 2 are just representations of the total.
