Collector Darryl_H private msg quote post Address this user
CBCS now has an option for you to make a payment online under your account!

Just click the "PAY BALANCE" button and select the card to use and VOILA you are paid in full, and you, your books, and our billing department are all doing happy dances!

How will SUPPORTTHEHOBBY or other discounts be worked out?

@GAC Right now, same as always. Write the discount code on your submission form and price will be adjusted once it hits the receiving desk.
Working on adding a place to put it on the online form, not sure when that will happen........

Soooo....I submitted with CBCS Canada and the balance on my order is CAD...when I click pay balance will it be processed as USD or CAD??

I can't really see anything on the order that would indicate this is a CBCS Canada order vs a normal CBCS order.

We can...cheaper through CBCS Canada though (at least in ONT) and don't have to fool around with explaining that you don't owe duty when returned

@KatKomics, I've never had a problem with Customs with returning books. The paper work usually indicates the owner is the return address. As far as being charged US dollars, I only send a couple of books at a time so it's not a big deal.

you are lucky my friend!! I seem to always get a follow up invoice saying I owe customs and brokerage fees from FedEx...then I have to call and go into the depot and sign some paperwork saying they were my books to begin with and that I don't need to pay any fees!! pain in the a$$!!

It's because of that that I also have a US mailing address and would go across to pickup my orders...the boarder guards just wave you though once you say you licked up your own books that were for appraisal services!!

CBCS Canada was another option for me to avoid the hassle!

CBCS Canada is a great option, I don't find you save any money on shipping. It costs as much to mail to Ontario as Texas. I also have a US depot address but our borders in N.B. are locked down tight currently, for which I am grateful. We are pretty much COVID free here.
