A somewhat controversial issue: clickable text

BLEEDING COOL: "Alan Gill of Ultimate Comics, North Carolina, has placed his flag in the ground regarding the current re-emergence of the Distribution Wars that hasn't been seen in the comic book industry for decades. DC Comics will be distributing new print runs of their delayed comic books via two new distributors UCS and Lunar, created by two old mail-order companies Midtown Comics and DCBS. While Diamond Comic Distributors intends to distribute those very self comics around two weeks later. It could be quite the car crash. Anyway, Alan Gill has made his stores position quite clear, He writes on Facebook."

@willieCPA4646 they are not the only ones having an issue with DC's new distribution system. Buddy Saunders had this to say in the latest mycomicshop newsletter.

I don't have a particular dog in this fight, but I'll say

a) Midtown serves as Marvel's 'distributor' for subscriptions (as in, if you get a subscription for comics from Marvel, the comics come from Midtown). So they have that going for them at least.

b) Selfishly, I'm happy to go with whoever is smoothly distributing books maybe a month or two from now, because my pull list is with the only new comics place in the area, which is in a mall. It'll be about the last place to reopen whenever they start letting places reopen.

It seems weird that DC is literally reprinting some issues that Diamond currently has in their warehouse. Sounds like discussions between those two have really broken down, for it to get that far.

I think DC will come out on the losing side of that fight, personally. Shame on them, too, for getting greedy, not looking out for their customers, the LCS.

I hope DC is successful. Having another outlet for comics and maybe a revamping of the wholesaler system would be a benefit for the industry. Competition is generally a good thing.
