I just received the email for the code for 15% off the entire submission until the end of April. My question is the VSP discount until the end of April applicable as well? Example: If I submit five books for VSP, will it be $5 discount off each book PLUS an additional 15% off the entire order? Essentially, by question is whether or not CBCS is accepting the two separate discounts currently being offered during the month of April? Thank you |

I believe they’re both available but I’m pretty sure CBCS doesn’t allow the combining of promos on one invoice. Me, I’d just like to confirm whether the new promo is 15% off the entire order or just off the grading fees |

without knowing anything about what I'm talking about I'm going to go with a big "NO". it would surprise me if they did almost no company lets you combine discounts. but with any luck someone smarter than me will chime in. good luck, because I would take that double discount all day long. |

I'd like to get an official CBCS response and also ask if CBCS Canada/Oakville office is open to send books to? It's Good Friday so likely no official response until next week. |

If you carefully read the announcement, it clearly states “accepting... at our Dallas facility” so to me that means no where else. It also says that the expected TAT’s for books submitted for grading is “between 2-4 weeks” which means they are grading and don’t have much backlog. (You didn’t think SB could stay away from grading for more than a few days, did you?) The discount also states “15% off of grading” so don’t expect it to apply to shipping or add ons. The only thing that is not clear is if you can apply both codes to your invoices. This is not usually done, but these aren’t exactly usual times. So a statement on that would be nice. |

The 15% off will apply to the total amount. You cannot combine promo codes so either VSP or the % off only. This will not apply for orders already in house, sorry. |

@dielinfinite in the facebook chat the other night, they said it depends on the supplier handling shut-down stuff. Otherwise the new slabs would be starting right about now. Side note on the facebook chat: they mentioned a discount code for April, then this email is the same deal but a different code. |

@sportshort “CBCS is going to offer 15% off of grading from now until the end of April, just write SUPPORTTHEHOBBY on your invoice to receive the discount. We love our hobby and will always take that extra mile for our customers even in difficult times like this.” |

Yes we are shipping out! New slabs will start once we get back to full operations and staff, and run out of our current cases. That said if not for the shut down we would most likely already be on the new cases..... |

Quote:Originally Posted by Darryl_H @Darryl_H An idea for you to run up the flagpole: Whenever CBCS runs a discount promo there is always the issue of the current submissions that were submitted at full price. It creates ill will and it creates a dynamic where customers hold their submissions waiting for the next promo. I can suggest a simple way out of this trap that will create goodwill and give customers more reason to choose CBCS for their next submission. Consider giving a 5% future credit (CBCS points) to all full price submissions. A credit that is able to be combined with all future promotions. Off-set this by eliminating the CBCS points for all discounted submissions. That way the full-price submissions don't feel so left out when they submit right before a promo discount. They will also have a decent size credit that will ensure that their next submission goes to CBCS. The revenue loss of shifting CBCS credits from discounted submissions to Full Price submissions couldn't add up to more than 2%-3% and that could easily be accounted for with a few additional submissions or a future price increase (they do have to happen from time to time). Just a business strategy idea for consideration. |

This threads been cold for a few days but hoping to get an answer so I know which promo to use. The 2 available are either $5 off VSP or 15% off if what @Darryl_H said above is accurate in that the 15% off will apply to the total amount then that would be the better promo to use as I have books needing both VSP and grading. So what I need to know is it 15% off the total amount or 15% off on just the grading cost? | ||
