| @BigRedOne1944 = Hawk, son of Tomahawk ran in Tomahawk for issues #131 to #140 (last issue of Tomahawk) from 1970-1972. Joe Kubert did all the covers, and Frank Thorne illustrated the Hawk stories. Definitely a decent read, as it is now the late 1810’s and Tomahawk is an old man (who can still shoot the gun out of someone’s hand and put up a fight when he’s needed) with a much younger Indian wife and two biracial sons. There are also reprinted stories, some with amazing Frank Frazetta art. I think of Thorne as the Red Sonja artist for Marvel, or maybe you have seen Moonshine McJugs in Playboy or Danger Rangerette in National Lampoon. | ||

I almost posted this for the cover contest. Excellent cover and interior art, and the story inside is pretty good - and was written by Sergio Aragones (co-creator) and Denny O'Neil. Last issue of this series. |
