We are really excited about this move and know that it will not only benefit CBCS, but all of our submitters as well!
So glad to have @Stevericketts moving to Texas! He is not just a great presser, but also a fantastic friend!

I'd like to say I still turned out alright, but that would be a lie. flanders private msg quote post Address this user
@Scifinator haha just watched that during a couple weeks ago. I could've sworn it was Taco Bell the first time I watched when it was released but the version I saw recently was Pizza Hut.

That depends on where your parameters are set for "at CBCS".

Full time staff = Ricketts, Borock & Paulus

Independent contractors = Bagley & Nieves

Facilitators = McDonald & Rose

There may be more but it's hard to say. We seem to keep finding them every time we sweep under the furniture.

So with YUM Brands, being Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, & KFC, maybe they will do a Middle East & Asia release replacing Taco Bell with KFC. LOL

Has anyone had their books cleaned and pressed? How was your experience? I have a number of books I'd like to get cleaned up but the 8 month turn around is a real downer for me. Is it worth it?

Additionally where can I download submission forms? I live near the Dallas office so if I do decide to drop them off I'll need to fill out paper work and I can't find them on the site. Thanks!!!!

If the viagra is working you should be well over a 9.8. xkonk private msg quote post Address this user
@Arinya I had a good experience. It does take a while but I had books come back looking much better than when I sent them in. "Is it worth it" is really up to how long you're willing to part with your books. Some people get antsy and start complaining as much as possible. You could pay a bit extra for fast pressing, which cuts the TAT in half.

On the main page of the website (cbcscomics.com) there's a button toward the top right that says 'submit comics'. You might also want to take a read through https://forum.cbcscomics.com/topic/9896/page/1/cbcs-101-a-newbies-guide/

@xkonk Thanks. 8 months feels way too long so I'll have to think about it or lower the number of books I'm wanting to submit. The extra $5 to go to 4 months (still long in my opinion) gets pricey once I starting adding them up.

So I already hit the submit books button and I my books all ready to go. However, I noticed that I am being charged a Processing Tier (I seem to be unable to change this). I assume that is the grading. I am not wanting to get my books slabbed only cleaned/pressed. I emailed customer service and was told I would only be charged the cleaning/pressing fees and to fill out paperwork before going to their office. Are these forms filled out for me in the online submission process? If so what about the Processing Tier fee? How do I remove the Processing Tier fee? It's all a bit unclear. Thanks again!

Oh and I'll read the thread you sent. Thanks!!!!

@Arinya Yeah, the forms are what you did under 'submit books'. They aren't really binding at all, or charged to you, until CBCS actually gets your books though. So if you have coupons from a membership or an ongoing deal, for example, you use them by writing them by hand on the form (there's no spot for them on the web form) and CBCS applies them when they get your order. If customer service said they'll adjust your order, I would just write something on the form like "press only, don't slab".

@Arinya CBCS’ Pressing Service is great but the turnaround times are way too long. If you just want the books pressed, there are better options, though you would have to ship the books, which I understand may not be an exciting prospect but you would get your books back much, MUCH, sooner.

You are not charged on creating an online submission form but you cannot edit it yourself. I would complete the online submission form and just choose the cheapest processing tier. Print the invoice and on the printed copy take a pen and strikethrough all the grading fees and the totals and recalculate the totals. When you go to the CBCS office see if they can update your invoice there to reflect your changes and if they do, ask them for a printed copy of that updated invoice

@xkonk Great! Thank you so much for explaining it! Yeah I was just reading the invoice portion of the thread you sent me but thanks for verify what I was understanding.

@dielinfinite Thanks for the advice on the forms. And I do really like that the office is close to me and I can drop of my books instead of shipping them but 4 to 8 months seems way too long.

As soon as I started pressing I started seeing much more 9.8’s, but this is mostly for new comics that came out so it could be my eye improved as well YMMV
