| I have learned some lessons about sending in books to be graded as I have only done so once before. Sent in 8 books end of March, and realize I should have had them pressed. Called customer service today and was told it was too late, that I could not change the order. First, is that true? It says on the dashboard that my books are still in processing. Jeff at customer service said I was in the "middle" of the process, so no changes. Also, I believe I read somewhere on this forum that if I have CBCS graded books, I can send them in and Mr. Ricketts will review them to see if he believes pressing might improve the grade, and if not they will not crack the slab. Is that true? Is that "press screen?" | ||

| I recently received a pressing order back. It was my first time using CBCS pressing. The results were amazing. 4 x 9.8 grades and 2 x 9.6 grades on my 6 Silver Surfer books. I had pre-graded the books at 3 x 9.6, 9.4, 9.0, 8.5. With the last 2 books the major flaws (waviness and non-color breaking bends) were completely eliminated. @stevericketts very impressed with your work. Thank you. | ||

| @stevericketts wouldn't happen to know the status of March submissions would you? Got an email back in April that my books were in the pressing area and haven't seen an update since. Dashboard also isn't updated nor the PDF invoice when I check it. | ||

| @SteveRicketts I have a quick question regarding press screening. I have a multi-tier order in now that earlier this week ticked past 15 weeks from the date it was delivered. Most of the books in it were flagged for press screening (all but one that, with a moderate spine roll and several creases that didn't break color, was an obvious pressing candidate). Never done press screening before, so just curious if I should expect y'all to contact me regarding which ones need pressing and what the additional cost will be, or if they'll just be sent through and a charge will appear on my card. I'm very curious to know which ones will benefit from pressing. The order number is 21-0B83D3B, if that helps at all. |
