I have and it states “PROCESSING” under the date and invoice number... then beside modern it states “RECEIVED”

Nothing else shows even when I click on the individual books.

Invoice is a hyperlink to your invoice in .pdf form. On the .pdf is the most accurate status of your submission.
@GeekStoxx - most accurate, but not necessarily up to date. With as busy as they currently are, as you can imagine, they may not be able to go separately into the dashboard system to update status. As has been previously noted, CBCS has an internal system which has the most accurate data which is how Steve Ricketts knew your submission is in grading. Most recently, with the backlog, official grading notifications seem to be coming when the submissions are either well into grading or already in labels.

But again, for the dashboard, clicking the “Invoice” hyperlink may give you a better picture, but doesn’t mean most up to the minute.

how does fast track figure into this? Do they get priority in the receiving line or is it only once they get "received"?

Hi,

@SteveRicketts I have an order for invoice #20-46F07A4 which was received on Dec 18, 202 and its been in 'Processing' status. I heard that all Dec pressing/grading are completed but my order status have not changed in months. When I clicked my order and the PDF pops up, the status cites 'Submitted'. How do I get CBCS help?

The order was created by you on Dec 18th. We did not receive it until Jan 25th. It is pressed and waiting in the queue in the grading room.

I don't think they can get priority in receiving because how would they know which packages have fast pass orders in them? But once they get checked in, yes, the fast pass kicks in and they move up queue. And your TAT is based on the actual received date, not the check-in date, so that time gets baked in.

@SteveRicketts I'm planning to send a few books and use Press-screen for the first time. One book is already a CBCS Raw Grade 9.4 but I want to get it slabbed whether it passes press-screen or not. Is there anything special I would need to know in submitting this book?

Can a book still be pressed even if it has a printers crease??

I have a book with a 2.5 inch printers crease but was wondering if other defects on the cover could still be saved?

Yes, a book with a printer's crease can be pressed. The printer's crease is not removed, just the other pressable defects on the book.

Is there a 2-day pressing service? I see it under the pressing prices on the website but when I go to start a submission, I only see the pressing and fast press (pass) options.

@VarelasComicAsylum pressing TAT is based on the grading tier. The fastest pressing TAT is 3-4 weeks for a few different tiers.

I have learned some lessons about sending in books to be graded as I have only done so once before. Sent in 8 books end of March, and realize I should have had them pressed. Called customer service today and was told it was too late, that I could not change the order. First, is that true? It says on the dashboard that my books are still in processing. Jeff at customer service said I was in the "middle" of the process, so no changes. Also, I believe I read somewhere on this forum that if I have CBCS graded books, I can send them in and Mr. Ricketts will review them to see if he believes pressing might improve the grade, and if not they will not crack the slab. Is that true? Is that "press screen?"

know what's funny in a I want to cry sort of way??

Feb will be done which means shortly after they will be done grading too..by then I will have Oct, Nov and then Feb books all in 'ShipToCanada' status since there is a better chance than not that I will have gotten zero of my books back before Feb is graded.

Starting week 11 in ShipToCanada for my October order and week 8/9 for the November one....could have walked it here faster

On the one hand, if that's what the representative said it sure seems like it should be true, no? On the other hand, sometimes customer service people make mistakes. I suppose you could try asking another customer service rep and see if you get a different answer. It has been nearly two months for your order, so even if it's still just in the queue I could understand how CBCS might not want to mess with the order of things.
