The Uncanny X-Men and the New Teen Titans #1 (1985) Newsstand Edition - I am calling this book about an 8.0 due to a printing crease (non-color breaking) that runs along the front cover from the "M" in Marvel to Robin's foot, $10.

House of Mystery #220 (1973) and #226 (1974) - Two reader copies, around 2.0/3.0, $10 for both, can't go wrong with cheap horror.

Unexpected #136 (1972) and Beyond the Unknown #24 (1973) - I'd call the #136 around a 5.0 and the #24 about a 6.0, $15 for both.

Strange Adventures #220, 223-225 (1969-70) - Solid mid-grades books in the 6.0 to 7.0 range, but as shown in one of the scans, the prior owner wrote on the bottom of the inside back cover in every issue. Great art (Infantino, Anderson, Kubert!) and stories, $15 for all four issues (cheaper than new comics and way cooler!).

Captain Marvel Presents the Terrible 5 #5 (1967)

Okay, let's throw something out there that is so unusual that it just might interest someone. How about a superhero who can detach his head, arms, and legs from his body by yelling "SPLIT" and reattach them by yelling "XAM!" Pretty disgusting and very stupid, right? Plus, how the hell many Captain Marvels can there be? There are no copies at MCS, and only 5 on the CGC Census. There are a couple on eBay, including a CBCS 9.0 for only $113. I'd call my copy about an 8.0 and it's yours for $20. You know you want it!

Doom Patrol (1966-7) Issues #107-110 and #113 - Before the X-Men, there was a superhero group of misfits lead by a guy in a wheelchair, the Doom Patrol. This little run of reader copies averages GD/VG in condition, and you can have all 5 for $35.

Fantastic Four #73 (1968) - At first glance, this comic looks like an 8.5, but there are some stains on the middle portion of the front cover in the area between Torch and Spidey and a water stain on the bottom right of the back cover; there's also some red overspray. So I'm calling it a 6.5 and asking $40 for a comic that presents like a $140 one.

Fantastic Four #84 (1969) - Am amazingly detailed cover by the King, and guest-starring Doctor Doom! There are some light bends on right side of back cover, so I'd say it's in the 7.0/7.5 range, $35.

Got any Silver Age Wonder Woman, Ed?

Maybe some Twilight Zone or Witching Hour?

Looking to pair a couple items with that Astonishing Tales 23 as gifts. Ok, Twilight Zone would be reading material for me. 😆

Western Comics #56 (1956) - This issue looks to be about a 7.0, and since there are zero issues on the CGC Census, you could submit this and own the highest graded copy. The closest thing I can find to compare it to is this one on eBay clickable text. You can buy my copy for $45 and be the King of the Census.

PS - Yes, that is a Gil Kane cover!

F-Troop #6 (1967) and Mission Impossible #3 (1967) - Both are about VG/VG+, the CF is detached from the bottom staple on the FT - $10 each or $15 for both. (Note: MCS has a VG copy of MI #3 listed for $14, take a look and see who's copy looks better.)

Is it just me, or do you hear the theme songs to both of these great shows in your head right now?
