Nothing really special, but the price on eBay was right. I already own these copies but wanted another FF #296 in NM, but ended up getting a couple of cheap lots (all NM) from same seller...#294-297 $5.25 & #232, 233 $6.99, with shipping it was around $20.

@obrie2tm SWEET! While the 1st appearance of the "Haunted Tank" in issue #87 is certainly a Very desirable(and Pricey) Book, something about it leaves me wanting more from that book. I think it is the fact that the haunted Tank is not actually on the cover. I find myself being drawn more toward Issue #91, which features the first Haunted Tank Cover, and what a cover IT IS! That kraut plane exploding into a fireball literally comes right off the page at you! Another classic Russ Heath Master piece!
There is no question I would already own Issue #91 if not for the fact that I simply cannot find anything remotely close to an acceptable grade on it.

I see you also have a GI Combat #108 that features the first Sgt rock Cross over into the title. OUTSTANDING! I just dropped my monthly comic budget on a CGC 8.5 copy of that book! I don't have it in hand yet.

I'll keep ya posted!

John

Look forward to seeing the copy of 108! Indeed, I also have been searching for a decent copy of 91. Although the Haunted Tank is not on the cover, I have always been drawn to the amazing Russ Heath art on 87; but then again, all of his covers are spectacular! You've got a great collection of higher grade copies going and I look forward to seeing more of them as posted! I'll be sure to post any finds on my part.

Best
Tim

9 months ago I asked for help determining if a Stan Lee signature was genuine, after finding archived signatures I was positive it was genuine This post is to close the loop on that journey. Here is a pick after I sent it to CBCS.

The gal holding the book in the picture is the very, very happy new owner of the book.

Awesome, congrats. Looks like it was probably signed a ways back, before the handlers turned aging Stan into a robotic signing machine for his final years. Which makes it way more cool and organic in my opinion.

Sweet pickup! Signed by George Perez! I loved that series, however I was upset when George was replaced by Ron Lim half way through it. Perez is way better than Lim imho!

Thank you @daywalker. It was kind of ironic actually. Yesterday was an exact year my friend and I got sigs from Perez, Rubinstein, and Starlin. This book obviously didnā€™t make the cut or budget for all three but my friend got Perez on it and itā€™s a nice book. I traded him an Eastman yellow label we waited in line at another con for.
