Thanks Jesse. Now I have to search out some obscure movie....

I don't. I'm susceptible to suggestion...but not that susceptible!

Live hockey is one of my only regular-scheduled events interrupted by this virus overreaction. I can just supplant it with more NHL 20 (EASHL or HUT).

I would watch that sometimes. It was part of a syndication block on weekend TV. I think it aired with or around the same time as Hercules, Xena, and a Bruce Campbell show (or maybe two that didn't gain steam).

I never watched Farscape when it first came out. So that's what I've been doing the last few nights, catching it on Netflix. Probably not as well written as Firefly, but definitely a fun entertaining show.

Since I have so much time on my hands, I decided to try and get some items ready for selling. I sent some books that CBCS wont grade to CGC to have graded. That took less than 3 days to send and receive.

I also sent some gold coins to have graded to NGC (Sister company to CGC, and literally same city). My first dip into this adventure.

So with NGC, you apparently need to send registered mail because in theory the gold coins are valuable. Below is the travel route they have taken. Is it me or is the package going literally in circles?

With the world in chaos, I have to try and have some semblance of hope.

Something so simple as having a few books graded or coins graded might bring some joy that "happy pills" alone can not.

=)

Although I do still harbor ill will for CBCS for not grading TMNT books.... j/k

My own little feelgood project is working through my bins of hoarded silver age books for those few that are pristine super high grades or nicer keys and placing them all in one little short box...project Shortboxed…..my set of the best of the best to keep separate from the bins

well I keep the best 32 books at the safe deposit box, so this is just what I have at home to mess with...that makes it much smaller I guess...

But I am trying to get them all into fullbacks and mylite 2's with an insert card listing date bought, grade, and any other pertinent information.

Farscape rocked. Is one of my favorite all time Scifinator series. Babylon 5 another good one as it was intended as an ongoing story arc.

So. My package is still touring Florida. I called the USPS and they said they have no idea why it's going the route it is. They say it must be human error and will put a trace on it and will contact me in a few days.

If the coins weren't so valuable, this might be funny.....

@sportshort

I may have insured one of the coins for 1/2 the expected value.

Otherwise I'd say lose them, saves me the trouble of trying to sell them.

But seriously, have you ever heard of the phrase, nobody likes a tease? The package reaches border of destination or right at cusp of my home and decides to make a turn in opposite direction.

Currently, it is within a few miles from my house, but until someone signs for it, I cant really get excited.... (at least not in a good way)

Right. it's only funny because i had some comics coming to me and where out for delivery for 3 days straight from my post office (that I could walk to ) they kept going back to the post office every night. by the way , I have the worlds tiniest coin collection about 30 cheapy coins. whats your most valuable? and can you post a pic.

my most valuable coin, I use this term very loosely, is Classic Head, 1832 Cohen C-2 1/2 Cent. As I said a Cheapy collection.

Sounds like a cool coin nonetheless.

Reminds me of the coin collection scene from ‘Throw Momma From The Train’ (Danny DeVito’s film Directing debut).
