Looking at those Matchbox cars reminded me of one of my favorite Matchbox cars ...

Actually, I guess that was made by Corgi and not Matchbox. I didn't really care who made the cars when I was playing with them. I would buy Matchbox, Hot Wheels, Corgi, whichever car I thought looked cool.

@GAC, I watched every single show you've referred to with the exception of "Space Stars", i don't recall that show at all. Was it a show where the superheroes appeared together and interacted or were they different shows contained within the 1 hour time frame?

@sportshort Great times!! The Space Stars was a 60 minute block that showed individual characters segments. The characters were in their own shows and only occasionally would cross over.

Had it new and spent hours/months/years jumping everything with it - Evel Knievel Stunt Cycle Toy. Could not kill it - scuffed and dented but it still rolled on and on.

Then it was UPgraded by the Canyon Sky Cycle, after he attempted the (disastrous) Snake River jump

Am I the only one who remembers this product? My mom definitely bought this back in the late 1960's. I remember the song from the commercial and even making the pudding. You really had to shake that cup for what seemed like forever.

@esaravo LOL I love that commercial! I don't think we ever had that. But here are a couple toys that I basically wore out from playing with them.

@Jesse_O - I almost posted something about Creepy Crawlers! I loved making all those insects. I remember that I also had a Batman mold that I could make stuff with. My mother hated the rubber goo and how I was always burning things and getting burned. Nothing at all safe about this toy - an open oven that heated up to around 400 degrees F that you placed metal molds into using a thin wire holder (that also would get very hot). I can almost smell the goop baking!

There were also multiple knock off kinds including one that used round molds...I was utterly frustrated to obtain many of those molds at a garage sale only to not be able to use them with my square baking unit

So, maybe people who spent time in 80s arcades will remember this one?

I used to play the crap out of it at the bowling alley. I bought it a few years ago for my office.

Ah, arcades, the games played, the time & quarters spent !$! Some favs, Defender, Joust, Bezerko, (forgotten more than i remember..) any racing match, Marvel vs Capcom and anything pinball. #1 for me was Rygar, the Legendary Warrior. Arcade version went to level 27 but could not use another credit when out of lives past level 22. Great challenge.

@esaravo "You really had to shake....." Shake you say? Here are two great products that you had to shake to enjoy. Jiffy Pop is still available and Yoo-Hoo said "Shake, It's Great!" Hmm, what a combo ^_~ Ok, got my real imitation Chocolate Milk & real Hot Popcorn, shhh, movie is starting....
