I see that CBCS will be there this weekend. Are we able to submit books there? Is there a limit? Will they be arranging any signings or be able to witness any? This will be my first time submitting is it best that I submit online and drop off the books or fill out a form in advance? Do I pay at the table? It’ll be a Canadian address and account. Thanks in advance to anyone who comments.

If this is your first submission be sure to check out the Newbie’s Guide to Submitting. There is also a guide for the CBCS Canada service which is available, but not required, for collectors in Canada.

To quickly answer your questions, if CBCS is at the event you are able to submit books to CBCS at the event with no limit to the number of books you can submit.

I don’t believe they are hosting any signings at this particular show but if you stop by tat the show they cane you more information. Yes they can witness other signings. Stop by the booth prior to the signing and they can assign a witness or arrange for one to meet you at the signing, in case there is a significant line and you will have to wait a while.

I definitely recommend filling out the online submission form since it will give you an invoice number you can refer to if you have to contact customer service and it will reduce the likelihood of input errors. Fill it out with all the books and signatures you’re expecting to get and you can make any necessary changes by hand at the booth. NOTE: The CBCS Canada process is slightly different. Check the guide for more info

You are billed when the books are received at the CBCS facility which could be days or even a couple of weeks after the show ends but for turnaround time purposes the date of receipt will be back-dated to the Wednesday after the show ends

I would have to say it had better be honoured!! If they are at the event then they will write in something on the submission form to say qualifies for 1 free grading for every 10 books submitted.

@KYDU if it's like others cons they've set up at, they'll have a sign on the table mentioning the promo. Just make sure something is written on your submission form because that's the only way they know to apply any discounts. Same thing if you have or get a membership; you use coupons by writing it on your submission form.

Like @dielinfinite I would fill out a form beforehand and take it to the con, but be ready to adjust it if you can't get a signature you wanted or buy a book there that you want to submit. I would be prepared to fill out another form there and then be pleasantly surprised if you don't have to.
