@obrie2tm Congrats! How long did it take you to get these graded? Only question is the last one, 9.4*? What is that? Is that may be suppose to be a 9.4 (check mark)?

@waynemel The order was delivered on April 21st, so a little over 5 months. I'm not certain about the * but believe you may be correct that it is a check mark. The book has minor moisture ripples on the edges according to the notes, which suggests a poor job by the presser I used..potentially over humidification.

Whole lot of reholders. I still like the original pink label for VSP, but I had the Punisher slabs redone because the maroon-ish label that with the rivets didn't look good.

If the viagra is working you should be well over a 9.8. xkonk private msg quote post Address this user
Got back a little batch of 2-Day moderns. Sorry for all the lens flares; photos taken by JJ Abrams.

I've wanted another copy of this, and one on eBay looked decent. I was hoping it would come back a little higher but I'm happy.

I got this as a PGX 9.8 so it was a good deal; happy it kept the grade.

Got it raw at a good price from my LCS

This comic started life as a raw copy that I bought.... somewhere. Probably eBay. It got graded and came back a 9.8. That turned out to be crazy money, so I sold it and bought a raw as a replacement. I sent that raw in and it came back as this 9.8. Pretty happy with the circle of life there.

pretty disappointed with this haul. All grades were lower than I was expecting except for the asm194. The hos143 looks better than my jim 114 9.4.

One hundred and fifty dollars to ship these out and get them back and I can't even get a double walled box??? Could we at least divide up the 29 books and ask me to pay more for shipping? Im a reasonable fellow, I'd gladly do that so this doesn't repeatedly happen. This is 3 subs in a row with demolished slabs in them. Five and a half months of patiently waiting and not busting customer service balls as well as the TAT and now I'll wait longer since 4 of them have to be sent back in. Im also certain I'll go to the end of the TAT line even though this isn't on me. Three of them were minor and I'd just over look it but this book is a nut kick to me. After wanting this for 3 years its going right back.

hopefully the loose pieces of plastic floating around inside don't diminish the grade.

Yeah dude, this book in a 9.8 might not be a grail but to me it is. Im super butt hurt on this one.

On a side note I will post pics of all of them when my wife gets home. As you can tell my phone just takes to crappy of pics.

Edit: there is a Strawberry Shortcake in there @Bronte

I know that punch in the gut; but not to this extent. Just awful.

Honestly, I don't even know how this happens where the box is just so destroyed. Is that water damage on the box? But even if water damaged; how does it become to that degree? Gosh so sorry.

It's all good, Im sure @Darryl_H will take care of it for me, he always does, but I just don't want to send that baby back out. Yes that is water damage on the box because it has been floating in my town for a week because Fed Ex has gone tits up(Constantine words, not mine). I totally understand that this could be more on Fed ex and not cbcs but I do feel like beefier shipping measures could be taken or multiples. Last time I got some stuff that looked like insulation blankets, I got balls of bubble this time.

AAAAWWWWW shoot, no recourse. Ill gladly pay the shipping to and from for a re holder. I have always been fine with that. I wouldn't however ideally be placed at the back of the line, lol.
I deal with shipping a lot of things, comics included, just offering friendly tips. Basically I'm sure I'm not the only one having this happen and sending them back. Will spending an extra few bucks to pack keep the system from getting so backed up? Thats all.

Three others damaged that aren't horrible, I'd over look them but why not send them back in since Uncle Con Job is certainly going back!

I think CBCS bears "some" responsibility as well. If I were shipping the books I would have split up the shipment to give more cushioning given the fragility of the plastic cases.
