I'm definitely getting all the rivets reholdered. I'll keep most of the original label stuff. I like the pink verified labels, but the more burgundy labels of the rivet era have to go. I also looked at more of the values of some of them I sent down. I probably should have insured the package for more. The new slabs are really nice. I'm still impressed with how much more I like them than the previous slabs.

Thank you...they are truly some of my favorites. I spent an
entire Saturday going from dealer to dealer in Scranton looking
for that copy of BIKE COMICS.

@martymann Do you mean when it was new? Looks like it was a promotional giveaway...did you ultimately find it at a bicycle shop or a newsstand?

After seeing this ad in my copy of BOY COMMANDOS #33 I was
able to locate a bike shop that have giveaway copies.
I think this might be the only graded copy.

Since I don't have a current copy of OVERSTREET can anyone
tell me if they have a listing for BIKE COMICS in the
promotional section...they don't appear to have listed this
in the past.
Thanks!

@martymann - I only have the 2019-2020 edition, Marty, and there is no listing for "Bike Comics" in either the Promotional Section or the Comics Section.

Thanks...doubt they'll list it.

I got my first ever submission back today, very happy with every step of the process and I have 3 more there now. I figure this is a real grade and I'm happy there's no resto, could maybe get a 4 elsewhere. ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜

So here's my first submission to CBCS to come back.

Overall, I'm happy with the grades (especially TMNT #1 getting a 9.8), but I learned a hard lesson on properly packing your comics for shipping

And YES.... That IS the ultra rare TMNT #4 misprint

Mark Jeweler insert.

Overhyped rag.

The coupe de ville. I'll be laughing all the way to the bank when Dakota North makes her MCU debut by tackling Shotgun. I got a few more DN1 and 2 canadian price variants at CBCS. Highest (only ones) on CBCS pop report. Zero on Blackstone's census.

I just got back my first pressing services from James McCormack on Facebook. The Herogasms were CGC 9.2 and 9.4 so both upgrades and the Avengers was really wavy, just wanted to see what he could do. Stained back cover but presents great! Also I'm liking the CBCS bags much better than CGC's as well.

Reholders just got back today.

The Spider-Man 2099 case is very scuffed all over the front, so that sucks. The old case was nicer overall in this instance.

I like the Avengers 144. There is a pretty CBCS 9.6 copy on eBay, but the wrap is so awful that it is a 5ยข copy.

My most recent submission returns. From delivery at CBCS to shipped was exactly 21 business days. Not bad. 2 consumer Fast Pass and 1 Rapid due to books value. I love collecting these low grade raws and getting graded. My total investment including purchase, grading, and all the shipping etc was $1783

@GAC Thanks man. The Hawk and Bats presents nicely. Spin splits will kill a grade but don't usually effect the appearance of the book.

Just picked these up today. All but one are books belonging to an older guy I know who isn't comfortable dealing with things like "slabbing" and "online selling," so I do it for him. The unfortunate part of that is I just took his "these are all in near-perfect shape" statement at face value and didn't inspect the books myself before sending them in. He'd managed to put a massive crease in the back cover of one of them when he bagged it. See if you can figure out which one.

These will all be for sale, btw.

The grader notes on that Detective 880 are painful. "light spine stress barely breaks color"

Granted I'm looking at it through the slab, but I don't see it (I'm sure it's there, but damn it must be tiny). Any other day that could have gotten a 9.8 and no one would have blinked.
