Why thank you. I don’t let much go but I knew this books was going to be back soon. I had it at 9.6 but the Albedo I had at 8.5. I couldn’t be happier with the whole experience. It’s the first mail in signing I took part in. I didn’t expect to see these for another 2 to 3 months.

Got the tracking number today. Holding off on looking at grades until they arrive.

I admit it, I peeked when I saw my order shipped today.

PS - That email was in my junk mail folder! But the ones that said it entered grading and encapsulation went into my regular mail.

Mail call! I just got back the 8 books that I submitted at the end of October under the PRESSING20 promo. I have to say that I am quite happy with the results and the TAT was less than 6 months. I still think pressing is a risk that can potentially lower grades, as well as improving them. It also doesn't always eliminate all "press-able" defects, as one of the books still has a "few light bends" and another has "light bends top back cover." But considering the difference in value between a 9.4 and a 9.6, and especially a 9.6 and a 9.8, it appears that it is a risk worth taking in most cases. Now that they are back, I wish I had submitted a few more books with this order (and yes, the new slabs still really look great!).

Here's my only disappointment/bad guess. I had predicted (hoped) this book would receive at least a 9.2 (or better after pressing). Here are before and after pictures.

Here's my biggest surprise (another bad guess) as I had predicted that this book was a 7.0 (before pressing). I did not buy this one new (like the other two X-Men that I submitted), but picked it up at a convention a few summers ago (the good old days). Not the prettiest wrap (sorry John), but it was available and the price was right.

Wish I had submitted my Pence copy with this one. I thought this was a 9.2 before pressing.

I picked up this book in a trade with a fellow forum member last summer (thanks, Sean). I thought it was a 9.4.

Double your pleasure, double your fun - two Newsstand copies of Thor #337 that I bought new off the racks. I thought these were in the 9.2/9.4 range.

I bought into the hype about this next book and when I saw a copy on the wall of my LCS this past summer, I purchased it for $270. That's definitely the most I have ever paid for a "new" book. I had hoped for a 9.4.

I saved the best for last. Here's another book that has been stuck in one of my long boxes for decades. I had predicted it would get a 9.4, so this was a very pleasant surprise that made the whole order a big success.

@esaravo Great books, Ed. Did you "fast press" them? I have 10 books submitted with that promo. Still waiting on them but I didn't fast press them.

@Bronte, @DWeeB1967, @GAC - Thank you! I did not fast press this order, but everything was either Modern or 2-Day Modern for pressing/grading.

@esaravo thanks for sharing. Those are great grades. UF4 is so hard to get a 9.8. Congrats. I had used the same promo and my status is Label so it is getting close.

Grading, labels, encapsulation, and shipping were pretty fast. I got lucky and my order shipped early last Friday. Good luck!

This is my third submission, my first was way back in the day like four or five years ago. My second submission was moved to grading today, from pressing. I am very happy with the grades! I have owned the Spawn and New Mutants since their release. The John Tyler Christopher variants are my favorite art for covers, the negative space. Sorry about the glare in the photos.
