39 short boxes less than I had 5 months ago.
Did a bit of thinning the herd.

So currently I have....

13 short boxes of misc SA/BA
(3 of the short boxes are my ASM 1-129 collection duped like crazy.)

1 magazine box full of Pre-Codes.
1 magazine box full of misc GA.

Dat's it!

EDIT: Oh, plus 10 slabbed books.

EDIT: Oh, plus Marvel Treasury Edition 1 - 3 (9.4-9.6)

@Maverick I really like that room. A lotta books yet still spacious, organized, clean,... not cluttered.

Looks like a comic book business room. :thumbup smilie:

@Pre_Coder Thanks. Thats about the only way i can stay focused. Too much clutter will drive me crazy. I like having the desk area to do the ebay stuff/paperwork/grading ect.

It takes up about half my basement and then I keep a few boxes in the closet of the good stuff. Plus the garage is starting to fill up.

Dang dude. You are doing it right. Makes me re-think my system.

I've got approximately 1,600. I just moved and I'm going to do some reorganizing. I really like those collection drawers. I plan on splitting mine up - GA, SA, BA, mods and foreigns, plus a few dedicated strictly to Captain America volume 1 run that I'm trying to complete. Those drawers would REALLY be a nice way to go!!

I have to admit to being one of the original Marvel Zombies from way back when. So 95% of my comics are Marvel, followed by Topps. I was actually an editor and sales and promotions manager at Topps, so I have all of those comics produced from 1993-1999.

Marvel did me a big favor by starting over with everything a few months ago. Now, my 90 collection drawers are all complete and alphabetical, and I no longer have to leave space to fill in the new Marvels I buy. I just called it good and started over with new boxes with the first of the All New, All Different Marvel books. It is making it a lot easier to file things now.

I just did a little quick math, and I think the number is somewhere around 5,000 ungraded and maybe 50 graded books?

I do a lot of buying, grading, and selling for a local client along with myself so more interesting stuff comes across my path than I actually end up keeping.

I have books stashed on every floor of my house. My wife tolerates my hobby/obsession. I have thousands, I'm sure, I just cant put a # on it. I started collecting in the late 70's and then stopped in the late 80's - mid 2000's. I got back into comics because the modern stories - especially Image we so well done.

Somehow I have, simultaneously, too many damned comics, and nowhere nearly enough comics.

It's a puzzler.

No where near enough, and in of awe of some of your collections and set ups. Going through my second stint collecting after being turned off by what the industry became in the 90's. Probably 1000 raw and 300 graded. Wife already frustrated with the size of my collection, so when I showed her some of yours it helped a little 😏

YEP YEP! I too have comicbase and have used it for the better part of a decade. I have exactli 16610 books as of last Wed. LOL It is not a cheap program but It is truly worth every penny and then some. I have organized my books, (with the free labor of my niece, Thanks Dasia lol) I have only graded about 3 doz books with CBCS. CBCS was a welcomed service, I mean with the strangle hold CGC had. Anyhow, I digress. 16610 is my total 70% marvel 30% all else lol
