That one scene makes it look like they're implying Red Guardian has the Super Soldier Serum in his veins.

OoOoOoh a mini compact black/red shield... ZzZzZz...

Still looks boring to me.

Well, pretty sure taskmaster is a girl. Definitely looks femine. The line "who is that guy" seals the deal for me.

Red Guardian is a Super Soldier in the comics. He’s actually Black Widow’s husband but it looks like that was retconned here to a father figure type situation.

Wasn't aware of that.

I wasn't a fan of, "I'm not the only Winter Soldier" in Civil War. I probably won't be happy with the MCU's explanation for this, either.

If true, then the female playing the character is very big. In the fight scene between Taskmaster and Red Guardian they are both about as wide and as tall as one another. David Harbour is over 6 feet and isn't a small man.

I can't tell if taskmaster is a woman or not(I have been guessing this would be something they would do for a while, especially in a mostly female cast movie)....but oh golly I hope it is...just so I can grab the popcorn and watch the rage

In the “Ultimate” universe, Taskmaster is a woman.

Couldnt it be possible that the taskmaster costume is used by a woman to draw Widow into the trap and once sprung she is facing the actual deal....

Pretty sure he is still a guy. I think you are thinking of Deadpool max.

My avengers 196 will not appreciate a gender swamped version. I was already on the fence about watching the movie in the theater. Probably end up watching it when it comes on Disney plus.

I think you’re right. I mixed it up with the Deadpool MAX version.

@Darkseid_of_town

They could use all kinds of red herrings to keep you guessing. Not sure if Disney is creative enough to go that route. I am curious how this will do at the box office. Seems like this movie should have been made several years ago.

to me it feels like now that they took out Natasha in endgame, they are fixing it so they can still have a character in that role...ongoing

People are also forgetting we haven't seen Melina yet in the previews..the much teased Iron Maiden. Or have we?

Until Marvel lets me down I will keep giving their movies a chance. I am more skeptical about the Eternals than I am about Black Widow.

Any updates on the Shang Chi movie?

Totally agree. They have a tougher time with sequels sometimes, but they’ve generally done great jobs with the initial installments of each series.

Why Captain Marvel got a movie before Black Widow I’ll never understand.

I’m not saying Captain Marvel shouldn’t have got a movie, but Nat has been around so much longer. Of the two, she should have got the first shot at a solo movie. An origin movie like one or two installments after Iron Man 2 would have made a lot of sense.

For that matter, I think they should have had the Wasp much earlier, too.

Founding member of the Avengers, and former chairperson, and nothing until the last (so far) Avengers movie.

I might wait for streaming or HBO with this one, though.

As much as I like them, they are getting very formulaic.

Yeah, Wasp deserved an earlier introduction. If I remember correctly, Joss wanted her in the first Avengers movie but wasn’t able to use her, for whatever reason.

I was hunting for a Tales to Astonish 44 before the first Ant-Man came out. That book was very elusive at Cons at one point. I was only able to find one AFTER Ant-Man was released.

But guys! You gotta support this movie! It could surprise you. And we need more Black Widow. Well . . . I do. So, pitch in if ya can. Give the mouse a reason to make more.

The only interest I have in the movie is Taskmaster. Great villain that I hope gets away in the end so the character can show up in several more MCU movies.

I took a closer look at that scene and the person fighting the red guardian does look close to Harbour's 6'3 height. The are both kneeling a little too but you can get a decent estimation of both of their heights. The O.T. actor is around 6ft so maybe it is him. Whoever the character is, they will have to introduce him/her early in the movie so we are shocked at the reveal.

Whedon wanted to use both Ant-Man and the Wasp, but the movie was already jam-packed with characters. Basically; If he had tried to do this, he wouldn't have stuck around for Age of Ultron. He basically left the MCU after AOU because of how large the task was.

In the trailer the woman seated at the table with Natasha, Yelena, and Red Guardian..is that Rachel Weisz?

Rachel was supposed to be playing the role of Melina Vostokoff, aka The Iron Maiden for this movie....

She doesn't seem like an emotionless assassin the trailer at least...
