| Favorite Rush Track in tribute to Neil....go!!!! I’ll start: Bravado. I was not a Rush fan prior to Roll the Bones. Like many others Geddy’s high voice turned me away initially, but when this album came out and I kept hearing tunes, this track resonated with me and opened the door to appreciating the artistic talents of the band and the messages presented in their music. And I was forever hooked. And if the music stops There's only the sound of the rain All the hope and glory All the sacrifice in vain (And) If love remains Though everything is lost We will pay the price But we will not count the cost... RIP Neil! |

Mine is "Xanadu"... right now, anyway.  I tend to change my mind fairly regularly with questions like that. With that said, "Xanadu" isn't a great example of Neil's drumming expertise... maybe "YYZ" for that. |

| I have many faves, especially off the debut album with John Rutsey, but after his sad departure it was Neil who added new dimensions to the group sound both through complex percussion and sophisticated songwriting. He was one of the giants of progressive cerebral rock and his creativity on drums and through lyrical contributions to RUSH’s lexicon and the genre in general will be sorely missed. Good bye old friend, you’ll live on through your amazing contributions to music.   . |

| I appreciate the talent behind the band but couldn’t get into the singer’s voice. “Tom Sawyer” is practically the only Rush song my local Classic Rock station plays, so, that doesn’t help either. All that aside, this is about Neil. His talent was extraordinary. The word “legendary” gets thrown around rather casually but Neil absolutely earned that title. He is legendary. |
