One of my New Years resolutions was to start going through my 20K+ to sell comics. I am going one box at a time starting with the ones that have large lots / runs of individual titles. This is one of the first few and the majority were Daredevil comics ranging in grades from F to VF/NM+. So would you sell as a lot,smaller lots, or individual issues? My first option choice would be as a lot just to move some books Daredevil: 175,177,185 - 189, 191 - 193, 195 - 196, 199, 201, 204, 207, 209 - 210, 212 - 216, 220 - 224, 226 - 241, 243, 245, 248, 252, 260, 264 - 269, 272 - 277, 279 - 281, 295 - 296, 326 - 332, 366 - 371, 383, 385, 455 / Annual 4, 6 - 9 (185 x 2, 186 x 3, 188 x 2, 193 x 2, 210 x 2, 214 x 2, 221 x 2, 235 x 2, 239 x 2, 240 x 3, 264 x 2, 267 x 2, 268 x 2) |

@MutantMania - First I would see which issues are worth more than others - you can use many sources for this. Then I would look at those issues carefully to see if any are in very high grade (9.6/9.8 candidates) and determine is I had a better chance of selling them ungraded or graded. You could then ask if anyone wants to buy the rest, or as many of us here on the forums do, make bundles of runs and try to sell those. Let me tell you, selling comic books is a lot of work, but at least it's a funny business. Good Luck! |

@MutantMania Looking at the first three groups, the ones with the bar code, they might all be newsstand issues but you should check if any of them have the Mark Jewelers Advertisement Inserts. Those variants have a nice price increase. Desirable for those that collect them. It's easy to tell if they are without taking it out of the bag, just look along the top and you'll see a thick white insert in the center. If you care to sell a couple out of your lot, the Daredevil #187 & if available #505 are of interest to me. Thanks. -J ^_~ HavaTaco |

If the viagra is working you should be well over a 9.8. | xkonk private msg quote post Address this user
I went with making 4-5 issue bundles and trying to sell them that way. I've also only sold two Daredevil bundles so far, so maybe I'm wrong.

I'd pull the Miller issues and list those separately as single issues or as lots depending on condition. You have the Born Again storyline in there, so that's one lot. Then, I would break it out into newsstands vs direct editions for some of the others. You might be able to get a few extra bucks from the barcode collectors. Then, the rest would just be lots to get rid of it. Good luck.

Depends on what your goal is... most money is breaking up individually...second most is "key lots" 4-5 issue storylines(like born again)...biggest gamble and probably least money is a massive lot auction on ebay. I have made a lot of money this way at times...others someone got a deal of the century. If you do auction I suggest 10 days and start at .99 or less... I always seem to get more watchers and activity the longer the auction, the lower the price. And I have recently done the same thing with daredevil, and it has been a crapshoot...and I completely forgot to check for mark jewelers in the ones I sold...smh |

Thanks everyone for the thoughts and ideas. @Cool_Fool unfortunately no Mark jewelers variants. I think I''ll try here first in a separate sales thread as I go through the boxes. In the meantime is anyone interested in this Daredevil lot for $150 free priority mail shipping? There are a total of 102 books. First I'll take it gets it

@MutantMania I would sell the born again separate & then do small groups after that, I think you will get more bang for your buck that way! Good luck! |
