Post your marvel picture frame books. I just love these and started collecting them about six months ago

@Studley_Dudley - Hey Mike, you skipped a few of the X-Men picture frames. But I have your back (and I still need that #73).

@esaravo I missed them because I sold them and am looking to replace with copies without sub creases. Back on the list!

I've always liked the frame covers, but the key to the really great ones is the art by the great Gil Kane! The Iron Man 46, Marvel Premiere 1, and Amazing Adventures 11 are all fantastic examples of comic art at it's pinnacle.

I never thought much of the picture frame covers before, but after thinking about it, I think they're a pretty cool look. The 3 sided frame with the characters and action spilling out over the frame and towards the reader creates an almost 3d style effect. I can imagine books with these types of covers jumping off the stands at prospective buyers when they came out. The Marvel western and horror titles especially had some cool looking covers. The only ones I have are filling runs that I've been putting together, but I wouldn't be opposed to acquiring more picture frames in the future.

Thank you! I picked it up in a group of books at an auction
a few years back that included;

STRANGE ADVENTURES #207 & #208
SHOWCASE PRESENTS METAL MEN #39
SHOWCASE PRESENTS THE SPECTRE #60
THE BRAVE & THE BOLD #79 (2 copies)
SUPERNATURAL THRILLERS THE INVISIBLE MAN #2
THE MICRONAUTS #1 & #8

All for $25.00...not to many auctions like that today.
