Almost went with this cover instead of the Banana Splits. I am surprised no one posted this one either. I loved this show as a kid.

Why is there a rule on when voting can happen? If you enjoy a cover why not allow voting at anytime during the contest?

Because voting can't begin until everyone wanting to enter a cover has ample time to enter a cover. Plus, one might use up all their votes on what is currently posted only to discover a cover they really like was posted after their votes had been exhausted.

If I think a cover is the end all be all that is posted on the first day then I don't think my opinion is going to change. In the current contest that you started I already have my top three covers picked out.

KCbatmanFan- Green Lantern cover 3 votes
Tom74152 - Alien Encounter cover 2 votes
Pre_Coder - Atomic War cover 1 vote

They were all posted over a day ago. So, me casting my vote now or later really doesn't matter. Also, if something did get posted that was better than those listed above but I already voted then nobody but me would know. I already cast my votes. I can't change them.

How about just abiding by the contest rules since they have been that way for 174 weeks with no real complications?

I have followed them. I asked a question about the rules and why early voting was a no-no. I think my point about why voting could take place at any point during the week was valid. I didn't realize that asking a question about one of the contest rules in the thread you started for discussion on the weekly contest would cause some sort of an issue for you.

I'm not having an issue. You asked a question. I answered. I asked a question and you see an issue. I really don't follow.

We will rarely see the combination of Obtuseness and Cynicism so eloquently captured in one brief statement.

I'm really surprised that no one has posted a comic that is directly related to the title of the weeks theme.

Would a color blind person just see a bunch of blank covers??

They should see the line art and titles etc., except maybe for embossed covers.

Lots of covers entered that aren't all red. Can we vote for those? I'd have posted this if I thought it was within what was asked for...

However, Matt and his dad are in full color so I didn't.

@KatKomics @Siggy if you mean someone who was completely color-blind, they would see everything in tones of grey. If you mean the more typical red-green colorblind, they confuse red and green because both look kind of yellow-y. https://www.allaboutvision.com/conditions/colordeficiency.htm

@Towmater - My idea for the theme was covers with red and one or two other colors (black, white, possibly another color just for contrast). But like I stated, I knew there would be posts that were “mostly’ red. So let the voters decide.

I went the cold war theme.

The only other red cover I have has more then three colors and I'm a bit lazy and only post the books I have. Here was my second choice

@HeinzDad nothing wrong with posting moderns when you collect them. One of the benefits of the cover contest is exposing covers collectors have never seen before.
And every comic published after 2000 I've never seen before as I don't collect moderns 👍

Then I'm changing my cover. With the way you wrote what you were looking for it seemed to me that it had to be an all red cover with no color..."for this week I am looking for covers that are all RED in color - yes, you will need some black or white ink to show a picture, but you know what I mean." Thanks, for a better understanding on it. It just kind of has to be mostly red.

Thanks...I was ready to cancel my entry again this week...thought I'd blundered again.
