Weekly Cover Contest Discussion Thread10782

Whenever you have a monkey riding a horse, I'm in. Tom74152 private msg quote post Address this user
As I scroll through the list of this weeks Covers, I smile and say ‘that would be cool’. But there is one vehicle I haven’t seen yet that I did get to drive. Last year I drove a Sherman tank at the Ox ranch in Uvalde, Texas. It was modified with an automatic transmission, but still a blast to drive. Makes you respect the men who had to drive them while people are shooting at you.

Driving or piloting any WW1 or WW2 piece of military hardware has my respect for sure.

I considered it because there are plenty of cool GR covers, but I personally don't have an interest in driving a motorcycle. Apparently that's the level of honesty I use for the cover contest.

Thank you sir. May I have another? Siggy private msg quote post Address this user
If only the Thanos 'Copter were on the cover.

Makes perfect sense. I realized that while there are many cool vehicles out there, I couldn’t deny the virtually indestructible Time and Relative Dimension in Space would be the one I’d actually choose. All the space you could want on the inside, with an easy to park footprint on the outside. The New Yorker in me couldn’t resist the appeal.

Golden did a new cover for the issue as a commission later on and I really wish this would be used as a reprint cover or something

They did reprint it with a new cover for a Marvel Legends toy. The commission is a much better cover, too.

@xkonk Yeah, the Marvel Legends cover is a reuse of the cover art from a House of M issue

Terry and Rachel Dodson's work typically has their female characters a little more Rubenesque.

@esaravo I've seen that cover since I was about 12 years old and it has always struck me as awful. I think it's much worse than the one you put in the contest.

I came across this one while searching for images on MCS. But decided it's too obscure to get attention.

@DrWatson Is my submission to your contest this week legal? it's the same package of books just showing both sides. If you want me to delete one of the pictures, no problem at all..just let me know please. Thx!

I couldn't decide what to enter. I didn't think the first one here would count and the thought the e.bas might be better than Kincaid, but Vampy has a lot more going on in that cover. and then I have the kiss my A#% Dawn McTeigue cover, which I find hysterical.
