@Steve - I like your entry, and I've never seen that cover. And I'm sure there are going to be many cool entries this week,... just are there are every week of course.

This week's contest is going to be a real boner!

What are the rules? What kind of covers?

If the viagra is working you should be well over a 9.8. xkonk private msg quote post Address this user
@Theprodigalbat read the first post in a contest thread. Mostly, it needs to be a real, circulated comic (e.g. variants are ok but not blank covers with a custom sketch).

@martymann - Thanks for reminding me, Marty. We BOTH still have a few hours to enter this week's contest:

"- Wednesday at 12 noon EST is the cutoff which starts voting that will go through Thursday at 11:59 PM EST."

Haha I wish that was what inspired this weeks contest. Maybe subconsciously it had some influence.

I hadn't realized there were chains on the cover of Hulk 181. Anyone know the reason? Did someone have to break out of chains in the story?

@EbayMafia No, I think it's just to look cool. I thought of it for my choice but thought it was a little subtle for the category.

Many times several covers are worthy of my picks and it's hard to choose which ones I like best. In those situations I try to narrow it down to my three favorite covers and then choose between those which one I like more than the others. If it's a cover I've seen a thousand times, even though it may be a cooler cover, I usually give more votes to one that I also like but I've never seen before. I also try to vote early so the amount of votes a cover has doesn't influence my opinion of it.

Thank for responding @flanders the reason I bring this up is because, for years I would see books that didn’t appeal to me and I would pass them up.And I end up smacking myself for not buying them. For example Immortal Hulk, I like hulk but never was interested in him until my grandson started liking him so I started buying them. In which that was a great investment and I loved the story. I’ve always been more of a story person than art,my sister n father both can freaking draw, but I can’t make a straight line,go figure.

@Reelgee I usually try to pick something a little offbeat. Many times I will Google the topic or look at the "browse covers" search option on MCS. This week though, Spawn immediately popped into my head when I read the theme. I remembered that cover because it was the Alex Ross variant for #301. There is a trade dress and a virgin cover for it. As for voting, I vote for whatever cover I like the best. It may not be the best as far as composition, color, perspective, etc. In fact, my tastes often run into the obscure, oddball or offbeat. In short, I pick and vote for covers that most appeal to me.

I always vote the best cover. I don't have friends here so I don't get many votes on my posts in general so after trying to win once in this contest and never winning over the years I just don't bother.

I did mess with peeps here nearly a year ago and hoped someone picked my cover to run in the contest.

So I won that one by proxy and using reverse psychology for laughs but that doesn't count.

Seriously I like to see covers I've never seen before.
Preferably from the golden age as that and silver, bronze are my collecting areas.

Congrats Ed winning this week and happy birthday 👍

I vote for covers I like or are in CBCS cases. I don't care who puts a cover up as I don't vote that way.
I also don't care about winning. I mean it's cool, but the fun is picking covers and playing while seeing cool books.
