@EbaySeller I know what you mean. I was never a huge Challengers fan but there are some comics I've picked up over the years because of the covers, as with this issue

I tried to read the very early Challenger stories by Jack Kirby. I know we're not supposed to speak this way of The King, but the stories made me feel stupid for being a grown man reading comic books. Based on this cover I'm hoping they got more mature as the series went on.

I have a really glossy copy of this that I picked up for $4. I call it a "Stop and Stare" cover...when a book that you typically would skip right past has a cover that stops you for a minute.

@dielinfinite In the Slab Uno Game, I assume a Universal CGC 7.5 to a Universal CGC any other grade is not a valid "move" based on the "Universal CGC" alone, correct?
Post 280 IP   flag post

COLLECTOR dielinfinite private msg quote post Address this user
@Siggy It goes by label color so a CGC universal is blue and can be followed up with a CBCS blue, a book of the same grade, or a copy of the same book (or a variant or reprint of it) in any grade or label color

WOW! This one is going to be awesome. I hope no one gets chastised on account of the humor. "Jokes like these end in high school".

It's all in the spirit of levity. Plus, finding a new topic is beginning to require a bit of creativity. It's all in fun. There are lots of things made out of wood, even a few comic book and cartoon characters.

Polite behavior generally leads to proper bathing habits. Which might explain the smells that assault one’s senses that ooze from certain comic book convention attendees, just saying.

@Towmater Just went to a small Con on Sunday. All I can say is you're going to really like the new mask rules. All I could smell was my own bad coffee breath, later replaced by the vinegar of a Jersey Mikes sub.

The con flu is bad but being trapped by unwashed, unhealthy, waddlers is the worst.

Maybe they will keep the mask rules in place once comic conventions come back.

That was me, but how did you know I trapped someone?

You trapped someone with the con flu? Harsh. I guess your mask had a hole in it.

@Studley_Dudley, Vermins' first appearance is Cap 272, the one I shared. It's great to see him on a cover!!! I really liked the character.

He does seem to always keep his eyes on the prize. That guy could have broken Winston Smith in 60 seconds flat (Orwell 1984 reference).

@Naurd123 I think that comic is a parole violation for some people. Send you back to prison quicker than going to a Chuck E Cheese without a kid or standing too close to a McDonalds Playland, lol.
