If the viagra is working you should be well over a 9.8. xkonk private msg quote post Address this user
I plan to, but I sent him an email asking if he had tracking info and want to give him a chance to respond. I doubt it's an inactive account since he has semi-recent feedback and other active items for sale. Maybe an infrequent/flaky user though.

I don't understand how that many negative feedbacks didn't affect his 100% positive score?

There’s “for sale” items posted as recently as Feb 2nd.

@Bronte it's 100% "in the past 12 months". they're just old and he hasn't done much selling in the past year.

I think Ebay keeps negative feedback "active" for a year and then it drops off the percentage.

It will however show up in the feedback description for all to see.

Is this a $1,000 book in 7.0 now? Great cover, but this 6.5 went for way over FMV.

@esaravo

FWIW gocollect has not been keeping up with ebay sales consistently. In another thread, they gave Angelo an explanation and a refund because they are not meeting the expectations of the users....

Edit
Daredevil 1 and hulk 181 were books they were very behind on in tracking sales.

@Bronte - I have a Go Collect subscription too, Mark. So if you ever need any information, don't hesitate to ask. Wonder if I should get a refund too?

Those are seriously crazy prices. I'd sell my 4.0 but then I'd never be able to afford it again.

Thank you kindly.

I think they refunded Angelo 1 month. It's not a lot, but it is a "happy meal"...

My concern would be if they don't fix this soon. Going by gocollect needs to be reliable or it's useless as a guide...

@Studley_Dudley it is! I'm guessing someone got carried away with Marvel hype and the fact that it's a newsstand while ignoring that it's from 1982.

@Darkseid_of_town

To be honest I have no skin in the game for either GPA or Gocollect.

I use Gocollect because it's free. As a user that doesn't sell often and rarely buys high value books, it doesn't make sense for me to get a subscription to either for the moment.

I will say that competition is good and in the end to have only one source of information is probably a bad thing. In a way it's kinda like CGC and CBCS, both have their place and while a person may prefer one or the other, without competition, there are no checks to keep one from going hog wild and making things impossible for the end consumers.....

@Bronte For me GoCollect is just one leg of the triangle. I look at GoCollect, Ebay sold items and MCS current listings to get an idea of pricing between the 3 of them. GoCollect can be way off, even their census can be way off. I owned a CGC book that didn't show up in that grade in their census.

I thought that gocollect pulled their census data from cgc directly? I'm surprised they would be omitting data.... I suppose anything is possible though....

As I had suggested in past posts, the information within gocollect does contain significant errors, both factually and by omission.
I tend to draw alot from what I see books sell for at MCS, and by looking at GPA, as well as looking at books selling on ebay myself....my own triangle if you like.....I choose to pay for the GPA service but I feel that it is worth the expense vs information offered.
Incidentally Bronte, You and I go back a ways...anytime you want the GPA on a book just send me a message...I am always there to help you if I can

GoCollect is the single best source for sales information as it allows you to capture actual sales from eBay, Heritage Auctions, Comic Connect and Comic Link. As shown below it captures both CGC and CBCS sales data. Multiple sources of information are always recommended in any situation. At the moment GoCollect is having a technical issue and have to input data manually but once resolved its the best, broadest and most robust sales data engine out there. Prior to using GoCollect I used GPA and found many issues with it I didnt like, for starters they don't capture CBCS sales at all.

just the same old Heritage Auctions goofiness.
I find every once in a while that a book I am bidding on goes for the next bid over my max...and will re-appear in a following auction.
Not sure if it is true or not but tales are that shill bidding is allowed in some sates and Heritage will allow it??

There is something to be said for placing you max bid early in the auction listing and not reviewing it after....that way you don't get caught up in the moment and go over your max (which is really easy to do!)

@esavaro, here's an opportunity for you: Signed by Eastman and Laird, and personalized "To Ed". Unverified writing has probably knocked the grade down pretty good. Seriously, if you or any other Ed has interest I can put you in direct contact with the seller. I just bought all those books from them yesterday:

On the general profile page, the seller has over 1000 feedback with a little red star and 100% positive. Great! If I actually click on the feedback, only 10 of those are in the past year and there's a giant laundry list of "never shipped" negative feedback comments. Faaaaaantastic.

For the curious: https://www.ebay.com/usr/tripeaks307

In case anyone needs closure on this story - I waited until after eBay's estimated delivery date and messaged the seller to see if they could provide tracking info. No response for a couple days so I opened a case. A few days later the seller said that work had been crazy (can't ship for two weeks even when not at work crazy?) and uploaded tracking info. Two days later hit eBay's deadline for responding to the case and without me doing anything, they closed the case and refunded my money. eBay's message said that the tracking info was invalid; it's a valid number but USPS doesn't say that they actually have the item.
