The apple sauce and pudding were the best part... Bronte private msg quote post Address this user
So I called ebay. Told them what happened. Told them to read my emails. After reading my emails the guy stated that the guy was in the wrong and stayed on the phone with me until I filled out all the forms and reported him to ebay for 3 breeches in ebay policy.

He asked how much I wanted to be refunded. I said shipping both ways. He said that's a given. He then stated that he was going to do 50% of the value. So in theory, I can now resubmit the book myself without cost.

I cant believe this ebay customer service guy. He said he couldn't believe the gall on the ebay user and said typically he would have let me fill out form in 5 days and be done with me, but he wanted to be sure I got back my money after reading emails.

@KatKomics

Yeah. Apparently @EbaySeller is correct in that the email proof is instrumental in proving case.

So now I get to resubmit to AND get it pressed on buyer's dime.

@Bronte As another said, that was a hammer blow. Boy, between this guy and whatever the hell happened here yesterday, I'm getting more and more wary of Ebay buyers. Did you post his Ebay username here?

@EbaySeller

Yes. Accidentally when I copied and pasted my emails with him. However, I guess it doesn't hurt to make it public now.

Yeah, you can relax, now that I've got his username I will take care of it from here!

Honestly, If I had the skills to hack Ebay accounts you all would be selling a lot more because I would be changing all your prices to $1.

Think it's a case of quicker you give back $45 the quicker it can be sent to CGC for a crack and press and hopefully a grade bump. If you want to get a grade bump then flip time is the essence.
Not a wait for insurance claim and do it.
And you can't press and grade a book again if you have sent the book back with a refund.
Just my thoughts. I could be wrong of course šŸ˜œ

More like Facebook dreck and goofiness but it appears the same exists there I guess. Guy I work with says somehow comics popped up on his feed the night before, he says something about Archie and a Kool Aid comic. Naturally he has my attention. Said guy looks for it again and I'm kinda peering over his shoulder at his phone. He is scrolling and I see a Spidey 300 so I tell him to click on it. It says 100 bucks and the first thing I think is I'll give a beater a chance if I don't own one. He shows me pics and it should have had another 0 at the end of the price. I told him something isn't right and sure enough this place in Miami had Hulk 181 and Spidey 300 "replica's" ready for sale and shipping...

I've learned my lesson about buying comics through mobile phones. Got a CGC 8.5 but didn't notice the "cream" pages.
This is in MCS auction but kind of interesting.
A) I had no idea this kind of thing existed.
B) This Ken looks different than my Ken dolls (joke):

Did New Mutants 98 start going up based on Deadpool 3 being talked about by the Mouse? I noticed prices were going up and thinking it might be time to list one of my two 9.8s.

It's not even whatever currency brazil has.

At least he has 100% positive feedback

I've got a feeling that a LOT of that $1,500 shipping cost is insurance. If you look at his other listing, it's $20 for a $30 comic. That price is fair for shipping from Brazil. Also, look at the description of the seller. If what he says is true, I'd buy something from him even with a 5 star rating. It should be easy enough to confirm.

I've had a few people lately negotiate a price, then when we agree on said price, they tell me they don't have the money and ask me if they can pay in a week. What the f***?

The worst is when you DO NOT have "best offer" enabled and they solicit you and then pull that crap....

I guess that kinda makes sense. Intially i didnt even read the descfiption, I just looked at the cost...

However, the value of the book is kinda high. Granted people would say the same about my stuff.... =O

If the viagra is working you should be well over a 9.8. xkonk private msg quote post Address this user
I won an auction from someone, paid, and have been looking at the shipping status. It has eBay's estimated delivery date, which was yesterday, but no tracking info. The mail is slow, I don't have a problem there, and sometimes people don't upload tracking info, but I decide to take a closer look at the seller's profile before I send a note. On the general profile page, the seller has over 1000 feedback with a little red star and 100% positive. Great! If I actually click on the feedback, only 10 of those are in the past year and there's a giant laundry list of "never shipped" negative feedback comments. Faaaaaantastic.

For the curious: https://www.ebay.com/usr/tripeaks307

@xkonk I'd request to cancel now. Maybe it's an inactive account and the seller forgot to remove the remaining items listed.

I plan to, but I sent him an email asking if he had tracking info and want to give him a chance to respond. I doubt it's an inactive account since he has semi-recent feedback and other active items for sale. Maybe an infrequent/flaky user though.
