All the moon knight hype has me appreciating some of the Sienkiewicz covers in the first series.

This is probably my favorite cover of that run. More to come soon!

This run has been a bear to put together and I have just shy of 10 local shops. They rarely have any of Brubaker's run in the bins. Always the series before and after. One of the stores down south may have the Soviet variant of #6. If I make the rounds tomorrow, I'll check.

One last thing since I got sidetracked doing my taxes tonight. As some of you know, I helped @esaravo acquire a key he had been looking for. Ed reimbursed me for it, then then he sent me this Power Pack #1 that arrived today as a token of appreciation. I've been looking to get one of these for a while and he didn't have to do that. So, Ed, thank you for being a gentleman and a scholar.

Ed’s da man! We all know that, though.

@
@Studley_Dudley I’ll PM you about what issues you’re trying to track down. There’s a shop near me that has all of them, pretty much.

I know I shared this in the original WTB thread, but since it’ll be quite awhile before I can post any “New” books to my collection, I hope you guys don’t mind my double dipping.

Just picked this up recently. The editorial version of Sandman #8 has always been a grail for me so I'm happy to finally own one. Planning to submit it to CBCS for signature verification.

I’m unfamiliar with this book. Curious to know what makes it an “Editorial” edition?

If it’s not on the label, how do you identify a raw copy as the variant?

The editorial variant, often referred to as version 8B, has an editorial by Karen Berger inside the front cover. The normal version (8A) has an editorial by, I believe, Janette Kahn. Supposedly, only about 600 copies of the 8b variant were released.

I'm a big fan of DC horror/mysticism comics so, since Sandman #8 is the first appearance of the character Death (Sandman's sister), this variant has been on my radar for years.

I had not realized that 68 was such a big year at Marvel. Thanks for pointing it out, that makes a pretty striking visual of how much comics changed in 1968. The new Steranko X-men logo (#50) was also 1968, in case you want something additional to put in the collection.

@EbaySeller had steranko sign my nick fury 1, X-men 50 and hulk annual 1. I forgot to do the fast track. I won't see those until may or so. Some of my other submissions are in grading and scheduled for grading

its funny my kids wanted to do a puzzle, I've had this I think since the 80's, box edges were broken loose pieces in the box I kept it in. Thought for sure there were going to be incomplete. But Lo and behold it was all there. Happy birthday anyway
