I got this a while back, but it's a little more relevant these days. I hate Greg Land but at least he only did the covers. Also got this one as a BIN, and some similar goodies I'll post in the auction thread.  |

| @daywalker I don't like Land because he draws all women's faces the same. I stopped reading comics for a while and started back in with Uncanny X-Men at some point (maybe 503?). I had the hardest time figuring out who some of the characters were supposed to be, even from panel to panel, and I thought I was just rusty, they had changed costumes, etc. After a couple issues I realized it was because Land only knows how to draw one female face. Natasha's face on that Black Widow 3, for example, I bet I can find on at least three X-women just with different hair color and outfits. I feel similarly about Artgerm and J. Scott Campbell (bodies instead of faces). I wouldn't go so far as to say they're bad or anything, just not for me. Even when one of them does a cover I like, I see one of their other covers and feel disappointed. |

| Ava DuVernay the director for the sooner or later hopefully New Gods movie was interviewed and quoted as saying Big Barda was her favorite character, and on further questioning confirmed that the female furies, as well as Darkseid would appear in her movie. If you wanted a memorable story to serve as the basis for a movie, I say use New Gods 7, and the story of Scott Free escaping to Earth to become Mister Miracle with Barda's help Figure Mister Miracle issues 4 and 6 are money in the bank, regardless... |

   More goodness delivered today...Mister Miracle 6, first Female Furies, one that has legs given the upcoming movie and cheap to get atm....this one signed by Mike Royer on the cover even A newsstand 164....another book that rises and falls with the Captain Marvel Movies....first Binary ...great cover, and the wrap was nice so why not? Everyone should own TOS issues with Red skull covers..had several copies already but this cover reminds me of the plot from Age of Ultron... ps if you never owned a copy of Mister Miracle 6 you owe it to yourself to see... "Mister Miracle faces Funky Flashman and Houseroy, who appear to be modeled after Marvel's Stan Lee and Roy Thomas respectively, while Big Barda goes up against the Female Furies (making their first appearance) " quoted from MCS. |
