Ah, I see. I hadn't heard that phrase before. Best I can tell from wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1968_in_comics), Nick Fury like @GAC said. Looks like you've got your bases covered otherwise.

@moodswing - Great present! I guess you upgraded your want list for a 9.4 or 9.6 copy. Very nice.

@esaravo

I honesty wanted a 9.6 but was offered a 9.8 for a good price 525 and couldn't find a 9.6 for the right price. I reluctantly decided to go with the 9.8. Still searching for an iron fist 14 9.4. I am getting hit with the ebay tax come the first so I wanted to get some of my big wants secured asap.

@moodswing yeah the tax on eBay sucks. The sub 1 I just bought I listed an ISO, with what I was willing to pay. Dealer messaged me and made the deal with no sales tax. There's lots of Forums on Facebook for buying, selling and trading. Might want to try there. I do have a if14 9.4 that I need to resubmit, it wasn't pressed when I slabbed it, really thought it was going to come back a 9.6

@Batman66

I bought that and my hulk 181 from sellers on Facebook. Most want more than eBay though.

@moodswing yeah I hear you, that’s why I put the price I was willing to pay, that worked for me. I’ll check with the guy to see if he has the if14

I got some VERY COOL comics in the mail today! A few months ago, @esaravo noticed that he had a comic that is a personal grail of mine Our Army at War #168, which is the first unknown soldier. He shot me a price, I agreed, and then I ended up in the hospital and rehab. Thankfully, when I remembered it, he still had it. He also threw in a Lois Lane comic that has been on my want list for quite a while. I like to collect execution covers and th iui s one is a classic. To top it off, he also added some Harvey readers which is right up my alley! Thanks Ed!!

@Jesse_O - Anytime, Jesse, just listen to the staff there, get better, and get home as soon as you can. I hope the Harvey's will give you a few laughs - that's powerful medicine right there!

PS - Are you known as the "Cool guy with the comics" where you are staying?

Got this like 10 or 15 years ago from heritage auctions.

Sweet Piece Kat!

Now if only the "signed to" name was mine...... Hmmm..... I guess I could always change my name to Steve

I have been really enjoying my newly acquired Joe Kubert Books.

Again a super nice piece Kat! Thanks for showing it!

You can never go wrong dealing with @esaravo If I'd had known Ed had that book I might have tried to make a play for it myself.

Ive been eye balling that Our Army at War issue myself. Its kind of pricey, but boy is it a cool book to have!

Hopefully we can get a better look at the book. It appears to have a very nice cover wrap. Many of the one's I have looked at have mis-wrapped covers. If I do pull the trigger on one you better believe it will have a nicely centered wrap.

Very Nice Pick up

I've got 4 of them, and I love them. Way more durable, and a just sturdier.

The stackability is another huge plus.

Enjoy!

I started moving my collection to those. I got 4 of the graded ones and 10 of the regular. Just feel and look better than the traditional cardboard boxes. BCW had a good sale during nov/dec too.

I can attest to buying any number of books from Ed...he can probably tell you Ive emptied a box here and there from his collection...been pretty happy with the books, the packaging, etc. This Christmas he sent Grimlock a few Tom Jerry books...that gets him double secret super bonus points from me...and grimlock too

I would definitely recommend Byrne's FF run from #232-295. If you're limited on space, I'm pretty sure it's all collected in trade form, or you can go digital.
