Here’s five off the top of my head. The last one is not very expensive, but just an issue that I always admired and wanted because of the Frazetta artwork on the cover. What’s also nice is that two of them were obtained from my CBCS friends right here on the forums.

I have plenty of good scores this year but they are nothing to be compared with these great classics posted. What I’d like to do is highlight some cons I went to with five “scores” of sigs I kept as raw books. I submitted plenty of yellow label books this year but I like to get one or two to keep raw so I have something to show for my endeavor until cbcs is dropped off at my door. Once again these books aren’t very important but to me they are.

Jerry Conway, Toledo
Bob Wiacek, Toledo
George Perez, Niagara Falls
Ron Lim, Detroit
Jim Lawson, Detroit

Someone told me.once they had never heard the hulk was inspired heavily by Solomon Grundy but when I see that McFarlane cover I always wonder how a guy could miss it. Great comic

Yep drag n wheels. Very hard to find a specific Charlton for May 72 collection.
Been a bronze year. With a ton of raw bronze picture books too numerous to post. 👍
And the Kirby 4th worlds

It was a relatively slow year with few major purchases but there were some highlights

This is the latest in my growing collection of colored Authentix editions. I absolutely love Linsner's coloring and the Spidey remark from Romita Jr was a pleasant surprise!

I love the connected artwork on these books. For some reason the Punisher cover was incredibly difficult to find so I was able to snag up the three in one swoop for a decent price.

This one heated up in the run up to Captain Marvel and Endgame but it's finally cooled down enough for me to add it to my collection of Carol Danvers keys!

I used to have a copy without the dust jackets or the slipcase and it was ruined when my room flooded during an especially vicious storm last year. There aren't a large number of these floating around and sellers want more than I'm willing to pay but I was able to snag this copy for about $100 less than other sellers were listing it for.

I love me some 90's Spider-Man and this key was missing from my collection for too long. I actually bought it as a CGC 9.0. I got it signed and sent it in for pressing and was pleasantly surprised with a grade bump!

The 4 comics below, and, since it was technically one pick up, roughly a 200 comic lot- Mike Royer's Original Owner File Copies consisting of the Fourth World books, Kamandi, Black Panther, Eternals, Jimmy Olsen, and various other titles.

Congratulations! There are not a whole lot of those game-changing books in existence.
In 1989 when I was working full time before going off to college I had some money and decided to splurge and pick up a full set of the magazine size TMNT because I was so attracted to the covers. Bought a 3rd print #1, Second Print #2 and 1st print 3,4, and Raphael. About a month ago I pulled some boxes from deep in my garage and found them there. My first thought was that I had something worth slabbing and selling. But as I put them in clean bags and top loaders I realized that I still enjoy those covers way to much to sell.

I purchased very few books this year, but I knocked Hulk 181 off my lifelong grail list, so, there’s that! Thanks to @kaptainmyke.

I also eliminated another one of my Spidey 1-20 list. This will be included in my next submission for grading:

This has been on my “Want” list for years. I’m very happy to have it in high grade thanks to a trade with @esaravo.

Another hard-to-find item, the full size Batman the Animated Series bust sold at the Warner Brothers Store years ago.

That’s it for bigger items. But I was ecstatic to win this SDCC Exclusive Black Widow hat on e-bay this year for a steal!
