| I'd love to see Barda, Mister Miracle, and Orion on the big screen. I just wonder if the studio can pull it off. There are constant teases of all kinds of movies that never come to pass. Casting will be just as critical as the writing in any film that tries to capture the cosmic chaos (in a good way) that Kirby created back in the 1970's. In my opinion, Barda can't be a skinny waif of an actress - you need someone with muscles and spunk (any ideas?). And how will the Boom Tube and Mother Box be depicted? So many questions, but so few answers. I really hope this comes together. | ||

| I actually think there are plenty of answers although more would be fun....The writing is being handled by Tom King of Batman Fame, so there is one hurdle done. Casting ...who should play Mister Miracle...Barda, and Orion? Barda could be done by several pro wrestler types, but hopefully with enough acting skills.... it will be a tough one to narrow down for sure. The male rolls should all be fun as well, but please no Josh Brolin as Darkseid. I liked how the boom tubes were done for Justice League although not so much for the mother boxes...I am more excited to see who gets chosen for roles like Highfather, Lashina, or even Stompa...granny goodness, Desaad? Maybe Mantis or the Bug...so many great characters! | ||

| Southerncross, I had the luck of having bought them all back in the eighties when they were books noone cared about and were dirt cheap. I have a tendancy to hoard so I multiples of some of them as well...for instance the ending DC wrote for the story, used in Adventure comics 459-460 Now and then I grab books from the set in high grade and slabbed too, and I am closing in on a third complete set that has all the Forever People , Mister Miracles, and New gods as well as the Jimmy Olsen run, and the Lois Lane books the storyline connects with. Nowdays the prices can be a definite roadblock to getting them all..but such great art and storytelling on such a large canvas...one of Kirby's best achievments! |

| Since everyone is so consumed these days with Star wars, perhaps it would also be fun to mention that if the New Gods does hit the big screen we might well finally get a good look at how Star wars really began and George Lucas derived his first movie plot ! I will sit and wait now for the assembled might of the Star wars loyal to voice their anger in one great vocal cry as if a thousand people all perished at once..... |

| Maybe 17 years ago I tried to sell/trade the whole run - thankfully no one wanted them so I just put them away..... lucked out!! time to get some graded - sadly I wouldn't mind using CGC to get better grades!!  |
