I was watching a video online and just heard of a deluxe and non-deluxe version of the issue. Can anyone tell me a easy way to tell them apart and what makes one more valuable than the other. Thanks in advance for all the help.

If the viagra is working you should be well over a 9.8. xkonk private msg quote post Address this user
The deluxe edition says deluxe under the top left box. https://www.mycomicshop.com/search?q=wolverine+88&pubid=&PubRng=

Since it's from 1994 the newsstand should be relatively rarer. Doesn't guarantee that it'll be worth more, but it could.

The deluxe edition should be printed on glossy paper stock. The non deluxe should be on whatever newsprint Marvel used back then. The non deluxe had a different cover price. Both types had direct editions. Not sure about newsstands.

Thank you @xkonk and @Studley_Dudley . Last question. Is there a major difference in purchase price of high grade graded copies, or better yet, should there be?

For comparison, this X-Men 38 was published in 1994 same as the Wolverine 88.

This was purchased off the rack from a comic store by me back in the day. MCS lists it as a newsstand edition, but it clearly states direct.

Here is a Wolverine 88 deluxe newsstand.

There shouldn't be, but it depends one what niche market a seller could be appealing to.
