How do you display your graded books? Show them off!10491

Collector Paint_Monk private msg quote post Address this user
I've talked many times how I'm a collector on a pretty meager budget, but I've managed to build up a modest but fun collection of my favorite graded books. How do you display yours?

I plan to order four of the museum-grade (UV protection included) 4-book displays from The Collector's Resource. I figure if I mount them on the wall and they're not in direct sunlight AND have the added UV protective layer, I can enjoy them instead of tossing them in boxes.

So far, this is what my final collection is and will look like (below).

I'm curious to see what the rest of you more serious collectors do!

Thanks, everybody.

I'm using the Collector Mount holders on the wall.

I don’t have a lot of wall space but I have a few books in Comic Mounts hanging on the side of a couple of bookcases

Nice displays. I look forward to seeing how inventive the displays get.

Below is mine. Notice the exquisite corrugated plastic.....

Haven't had a chance to put the rest out and short on real estate in my office.

It is when you forget what you have and find them years later.

Ditto here

I make color photo copies of the books I display on the fronts of my comic drawers. They can be easily changed out.

Nice setup, @BigRedOne1944! Looks like you have plenty of room for a nice collection.

I've got an 10x14 room for everything...including my bed, so I have to make due!

Graded comic boxes in storage. I enjoy them via photos.

lol I know, but our home is fairly small and old. If a fire broke out, I want to grab the ones that matter quickly and plop them on the dolly I keep next to the shelves and try to get them out in one trip.

So I use command strips and hang them all over the house, but the largest display is in my rumpus room, I rotate them when I get bored or find something I think is cooler

If she's unable to walk, then sure, but trying to maneuver an unconscious person on a dolly will likely get us and the comics cooked. A conscious person would be silly.
But she's pretty smart, so I'm not too worried.

The real question is, which has more insurance. The wife or the comics? Gotta know your priorities....

So, here's what I do. It started as building a display for a convention and then it just kept expanding from there.

I have fun with it.

The single frames are ones I have done for my sons and two consignments.

That 'inside the cabinet' image makes me cringe a little. What kind of light is above the top shelf?

Now there's something you don't see everyday. Is that a clothes line of comic books?

I bought a frame awhile back from Collector's Resource. Love their quality of frames and customer service.
Will take a picture later of it, when i get home from work.

Had a son living up there temporarily years ago. He had the patience to lay it out and screw hooks in the 45 degree ceiling.
I took full advantage

I’m with @Siggy. My stuff is in a box as well. I think a nice shelf set up would work well, but that’s probably a futur project. Anyways you gave me a great excuse to pull out my slabs and share! I have never done so and Inhave had like 7 mail calls since joining the forum board. My apologies with my selfishness. Well with no further delay here is my slab collection:
