Advice Needed For Next Purchase10465

It was a one trick pony show but always hilarious. GAC private msg quote post Address this user
I'm getting close to making my next purchase on a relatively significant book. I have three books I'm considering and I would like the forum's advice and opinions.

The three candidates are:

Fantastic Four #2 CGC 4.5
Batman #121 CGC 4.5
Daredevil #1 CGC 4.5

Page Quality: OW to OW/W

Below are the Census and GoCollect Data. Which would you choose and why?

Thanks!!!

Daredevil 1 would be my pick from those 3, major character minimal price. I don't think the prices with heritage has the buyers premium and none have sales tax included

I had no way of knowing that 9.8 graded copies signed by Adam Hughes weren't what you were looking for. drchaos private msg quote post Address this user
I would go with FF # 2.

Interesting comics to choose from, but my choice would be FF #2 also.
Batman - most rare (3 points), least significant (1 point) = total 4 points.
Daredevil - Midddle significant (2 points), least rare (1 point) = total 3 points.
FF - Most significant (3 point) - middle rarity (2 point) = total 5 points. Winner!

Daredevil 1. Can’t go wrong with a first appearance of a silver age Marvel super-hero.

I think FF would have the best bet of getting some traction in near future. Marvel already introduced the skrulls so when they become more significant it should generate more interest.

Daredevil while a great choice, he is in flux because of Netflix deal. It might be a few years before they can utilize him into mcu mainstream. Granted when they do, I would think he would skyrocket. I think because not everyone has Netflix, it hampered his appeal to worldwide audience.

Batman, while I like 121 for purely personal reasons, logically all you have is one rumor of a movie. And while the coming movie can be great, it prolly won't reach joker levels. Joker is so dynamic a villain beyond the movies.

Short term FF
long term DD
super long term batman

I'm also interested in others thoughts as well.

I don't like Daredevil and I have never really cared enough for Batman to buy his books. So, I guess that leaves the Fantastic Four. I used to have a copy of #2. I never had a copy of the other two and I'm okay with that.

FF #2 Because I don't have it and need it.
I have zero interest in Batman 121 and even less for Daredevil.

@daywalker I do not but it's been on my radar a little while now.

I thought Batman 121 would get more attention than it's getting. It's the 1st appearance of Mr. Freeze, a significant Bat villain is fair to say I think. It's the rarest of the 3 books. It's the oldest book and it's a Batman title.

FF2 is 1st Skrulls and last of the 10cent issue. 3 years newer and marginally less rare than Bats 121.

Daredevil 1; 1st Daredevil (and Karen Page, Foggy Nelson), least rare compared to the other two by some significance, newest of the 3 (1964).

All of you make good points but I felt Batman 121 would get a little more love...its interesting to read these posts. I hope they keep coming.

@GAC

One thing I think you are forgetting is what do you want. Not what will go up.

For example, if I recall correctly, you had a fire sale specifically to get enough to purchase 121.

Your avatar picture is 121.

At the end of the day, after what you went through, it is going to take a major book to displace your prized book. You arent going to be selling it without a seriously major book or family crisis standing in your way.

I say snipe the auction for a 4.0 on ebay right now. that's less than 1k right now. And keep change for another book. (No. It's not my book)
It even has your off white to white page quality you desire.
