So, probably fitting to wrap the Thread along with @esaravo last post (for now). Had a blast posting these, have more, but not a 'favorite' collecting genre on this forum (for now).

Hope those who peeked in discovered something different and maybe they will venture into the genre and spread "The Love Bug" to other CBCS forumites and get a Romance community going here.

So until i start a Vol. 2 (as this Thread will eventually be archived after inactivity, here's the closer for the Thread (but i may bump it for Valentines Day )

From Charlton comics, a real toughie, First Kiss #9

@Drahcir Hey, like I said, it won't archive for a while, and I'm sure I'll post on Valentine's Day, whenever you can get to it, all will be happy to see some more Romance books!

I recently acquired two more Harvey romance comics bound volumes. This one covers September through December of 1956:

Wow, that’s a whole lot of Harvey Comics goodness! I will post pictures from the other volume in the near future.

@michaelekrupp - Those are so bright and clean, they look brand new! Awesome pickup(s).

@Sagii , @esaravo thanks to both of you! I am surprised that there is not more interest in bound volumes among the collecting community. Probably a good thing for me since they are truly rare items. I know my opinion about bound volumes changed drastically after I acquired a couple. Now they are my main area of interest!

As promised, more Harvey Comics fun. This is the preceding volume to yesterday’s post, covering May-August 1956:

@michaelekrupp Absolutely killer piece! Always got a chuckle out of the cover with the jealous driver (keep your eyes on the road, man!!).

A real treat for the rest of us to see!

@michaelekrupp - What another stunning collection of like-new books! Almost every cover seems to have the theme of someone watching in the distance as the lovers embrace (except for True Love Problems #40). Beautiful find!

A few covers have the lone figure watching in the distance. The jilted lover.

Is there another cover that has more people looking on at the couple ?

@southerncross Cool one! Is that Buscema?
I'll look and see if I have an example with group watching a Lip Lock

LOL, that is one wild cover. Romance pushed boundaries that would be a no-no on super hero covers. Thanks for posting

Atlas red cover beauty. Cover is a collaboration effort of Bill Everett and Vince Colletta(not confirmed if foreground by one, forefront by the other, or traditional ink pencil partnership)
