| No...I kind of figure as long as I'm comfortable then so are my books. Heated house in the winter, AC in the summer and a few sweet sweet months where neither is required!!! |

| Personally, I don't. I do keep the temp in the Low 60's in the room I store my books in. If you have an issue with moisture in the air, I would just get one of the buckets with desiccant type product in it and place that in your comic storage room. i'd worry more about using good acid-free storage products in place of desiccant. | ||

| No. Even when the humidity is high outside(southeastern state) the AC controls the humidity inside. If you have worries, you can always buy a standalone dehumidifier. | ||

| I would be worried about such things damaging the comics. I have always kept my books in livable space. Keeping comics in a basement or garage is just asking for trouble. |

| I have no place to store my comics but my basement which I have a dehumidifier running and empty it every few days. I keep them on the opposite side of the basement where the moisture seems to be worst. I have damp rid buckets in a few strategic places and I place desiccant packets in the acid free boxes along the sides where there is space to breath in the Boxes. I think keeping up with the dehumidifier and off the floor with air free to flow around them should be enough...but I like to take it a few steps further. So far, so good. They’ve been there for 10 years and still crisp white pages! |
