| ****PLEASE READ**** Happy Holidays! As we have all heard, Jesse_O has taken ill, and we all wish him the best with our thoughts and prayers. Although it will be hard to do even come close to doing the excellent job he does, I have spoken with Steve Borock and I will do my best to maintain the Holiday Spirit this year. So, I need all of your help in getting this going as we are a little behind. The information you had sent to Jesse_O, please copy and send in PM to me. In doing so, lets try to make this as streamlined and easy as possible on the person that hasn’t done this before…me.  Send the following information in the PM: SUBJECT: Gift Exchange Name or ScreenName: Address: Interests: As Jesse_O stated in the original thread, Suggested value is between $20.00 and $30.00. Children and spouses can participate, but if you give two names, you will get two names. Please do not sign up and then not send a gift…that’s just wrong. Since this is kind of a reboot, we will extend sign ups until November 10th. Please have them to me by then so I can have you your person by November 17th. |

| @Arak I dont celebrate holidays. (Yes, my family is quite weird) While I appreciate the thought, if you want to give anything, please direct your good will to Jesse or to to a charity that could use some assistance. Plenty of children do without for xmas. I am fortunate that I have all I need. But I thank you for keeping me in your thoughts. |

| @Stantheman I volunteered at the Mental Health Association for I think 2 years. You would be incredibly surprised how many kids are hurt or forgotten. We also did a bit for senior citizens. That was truly sad. (I'll explain if you choose, but it's too depressing for this thread) My point is, there are people in need that are not the dregs of society. It's not the vagrant, on the street corner. (Although a huge majority of those folks are mentally ill. ) If I could have one wish, (aside from having my mother back), I'd ask that folks volunteer at some point in your life. It opens your eyes to a world you have never seen that has always been in front of you. Granted, I'm no saint. EXCEPTIONALLY far from it, but I'm learning..... Btw, I'm not Christian or anything else. If this post is misconstrued as a guilt trip by a religious fanatic. I am far from it. My apologies if I offend anyone. Certainly not my intent. Will delete of asked to. |

| @Bronte I agree 100% I have an charity event a week from now to attend Also doesn't have to be $ either. giving your time such as volunteering @ the special olympics or a soup kitchen during thanksgiving are some good examples if you don't have $ to give |
