@drchaos No problem. And I will pin it in a day or two after everyone has had a chance to see it in the regular thread.

That is my understanding as stated. Just not self-witnessed if you are an authorized witness. You need an official witness from CBCS booth present, or, some sort of rep associated with the signing booth (unless it's Marvel/DC).

Truly sad how a simple hobby of obtaining and collecting autographs of favorite artists/writers has come to this. Wow - I think I need a lawyer to translate this for me

Not really an issue if you are just collecting and don't want the book slabbed with a yellow label.

I understand that the rule changes are more than likely a result of the creator's not being paid what they charge for books that are going to be graded, and agreements that they and their reps have with different grading companies. I think it is great that they are making a stand and that the grading companies are listening to them.

Noting what's going on with the FBI being involved in the card market/auction, and the card grading companies this might be a step in the right direction. I state that as I don't think anyone should be allowed to "self witness". It just leads to things that get seedy. The hobby is based upon trust. Without trust the hobby doesn't carry on.

This is the update posted by Darryl Hayden yesterday Tim. Probably because of additional restrictions so it should be added to that pinned post.

The beauty with CBCS (as opposed to CGC), is I don't need the lawyer jargon, or the artist's nonsense, or the reps nonsense, or the ticketing process, or the facilitator, or the self witness, or the authorized witness, or the kitchen sink. All I need is....... the Red Label.

Lawyer problem solved
