| While issue 4 of the classic Mister Miracle title draws much of the heat due to Barda's first appearance, another issue that in itself may well sneak up on everyone, is issue 6. First we get the first appearance of the female furies, possibly will appear in the supposed New Gods movie being made. Script, pencils and cover are classic Kirby, and the inks were done by Mike Royer so a lot to like here....but the part most people aren't aware of is this issue also introduces two characters, Funky Flashman and Houseroy, who appear to be modeled after Stan Lee and Roy Thomas....did Jack Kirby sneak a little poke in at his former peers over there at Marvel in the guise of these two or was the similarity random? It is often argued and Kirby himself had once said he was parodying someone else... | ||
